Freshman Natasha Scott (Philadelphia, PA) scored a career-high 28 points as Goldey-Beacom College snapped a 14-game losing streak with a 78-69 win over Post University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s basketball action Saturday afternoon at MBNA America Hall.

Sophomore Toni Jones (Rehobeth Beach, DE) chipped in with 12 points and a team-high 14 rebounds as the Lightning improved to 5-17 with the win and 4-13 in conference play. The Eagles, meanwhile, dropped to 5-15 overall and 5-12 in the CACC.

Tadj Williams led Post University with 17 points and 17 rebounds while Angelia Booth dropped in 18 points. The Eagles held a 62-42 edge on the glass but shot just 45.2% from the free throw line. The Lightning, meanwhile, converted 18 of their 24 free throws.

The Lightning return to action this Tuesday when they travel to Philadelphia to take on University of the Sciences.
