Lincoln University Basketball Doug Overton

Lincoln University has announced the hiring of Doug Overton as their Head Basketball Coach.

I know very little about Lincoln U basketball but I plan to attend a couple of their games this year. Doug Overton has been an assistant at St. Joes and was a HC in the NBA developmental League. This is the kind of person UD should hire. He was a journeyman NBA player for over a decade.

He played with Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble at Dobbins and with Lionel Simmons at La Salle.

Happy for Lincoln and Coach Overton.

Hopefully Doug's hire will bring some stability to program. Lincoln's previous men's coach was terminated under some suspicious circumstances and they needed to make a good hire. Lincoln has a ton of potential as a program and Doug should have the chance to tap into it.

The school , enrollment wise, has been circling the drain.
