more CalPreps fun 2012 Middletown vs 2016 Smyrna...

BiB. What about Elkton vs HVT? Everything I hear is ElKton is really really good.

My opinion.. Elkton is more polished on offense running their scheme but HVT would get them on size...Both have dynamic play-makers everywhere and great QB's. HVT wears them down with size though ground and pounding the second half keeping Null and company off the field 35-21

How far back do these go?

Would like to see Newark in peak years vs MT 2012.

So another poster and i were arguing about 2012 MT being able to compete with most IMG teams. Heres one -

ummm yeeah.. o_O

So the 2012 Middletown #160 and the 2016 Smyrna #217 is going to go toe to toe with the 2018 #3 ranked team in the country and consensus #4? The team that lost to the #1 ranked team by 4 in the last minutes and got seriously hosed by Cali refs.. That team ? I don't think so..RC both games

To be clear. I didn't say that they would defeat them. The game would be very competitive and definitely would not be a blow out. I doubt that you seen all three of those teams play in person as I did. I have a pretty extensive background in observing talent through watching and playing at various levels from youth to D1 college. There are intangibles that most people can't comtemplate to consider or post on this forum that back my view.

If you say so.. I have seen them play in person (not 2018 IMG) but saw plenty of them on ESPN... I get you saw them when MT went down to play them. Actually i remember you saying you weren't all that impressed or something like that... do you really think that game was anything more than a joke to them?? believe me they were just playing around..and still won 52-7

I am just going to have to disagree with you on a competitive game.. no biggie just a difference in opinion..or I just can't contemplate the intangibles to consider for some reason.. whatever that means..

2004 Newark is best I can do 12-1 State Champs.. lost to MT reg season 24-6 then beat MT in the final 14-0

We cant compare the Delaware great teams to National teams.... I think Smyrna and Middletown would get blown out by them....Now if you take one of the blue gold teams....then we would have a game... skilled wise we can compete there but up front would be tough!! Thats our biggest weakness in DE...O Line...

I think its still debatable. National teams have 20-50 kids who have D1 offers from around the country. Delaware as a whole barely has 1-2 every year.

those two Delaware teams wouldn’t even hang with other top FL programs nevertheless IMG. Schools like Lakeland, American Heritage, Miami Central all whip them

the great Newark teams were
1997-1999 range. Would be good games against Smyrna and MT. All three had a ton a talent.
