I was at the Mount game since it was in Wilmington lol. Mount is deep and their bigs was the difference. Newark guard matched up pretty good with mounts guards. Think coach McCants had a nice plan. Down 1 at end of third but turnovers hurt them. Again Mike sharpe kid is a all state player. He can play. Best guard on the floor tonight and pg lil McCants made some big 3s and nice passes. Burnett is still better but guard play seemed equal tonight. Lil McCants boxed and 1 Burnett in 3rd and did a good job. 33 Kramer kid the truth tho! No answer. Mt senior team that can win it imo. Newark might be top 5 next year. They all returning. Honestly I think she was out coached tonight. Mount made crucial shots at end of each quarter. Kramer tho smh.
Dover really lost and they had the easy bracket to chip?? Wth thought they were the cream of crop down there with a D1 player..... March madness. Thoughts on all of this?

I have to agree with you that Coach McCants put a great plan together but costly turnovers and mistakes got them in the end. Mike Sharpe is a cold blooded assassin and probably the best shooter in the state. Burnett is probably the best player in the state and that young big boy was definitely the difference tonight. Good luck to the Green Knights, they will be a hard out this year.

I think the best player in the state is clearly @ Sanford I'm Mikey Dixon this year & it is a very big gap.

I agree that Dixon is best player in the state hands down Plus Stan does a better job for Mike then Sullivan does for Burnett promoting his play and talent. Again just my opinion. But Mike Sharpe is a player and coach McCants helping develop those kids. I understand today's public schools and he has done a good job with his teams in the past. Sharpe will be 1st team next year under McCants and he has an underrated pg who loves to pass like his dad. I promoting publics and rooting for Mt. P to win it all. Question?? Who is #11 for my p? Everyone in crowd said he really good but coach don't use him. Looked impressive in lay up line tho lol 12 th grader

His kid turns the ball over way too much. I'm a Newark fan, so I hope he cleans that up as a senior. Drumgo Sharpe is incredibly talented. Fearless.

When you have the line up of Cramer, Backus, Shipman-Scott, Burnett, Myrick who's he gonna play for #11 is good but mount is 10 deep those first 4 are gonna play most of the game he get his chances but that fifth spot is a matter of who's she getting the most from. last night it was holland tomorrow it might be him That's the sacrifices of being on a good team. I think she does a good job he get his chance every game you gotta make the most of your opportunity do something to make her keep you on the floor

Mount has at least three kids on that bench who would be starters anywhere else, but they've sacrificed that for a chance at a state championship. I really like their chances.

I haven't seen Dover at all, but no way a team with that much talent should lose their first tournament game. No way.

Why do you assume that? STMA has wins over both Milford and Dover. You cannot win on talent alone, I've said Dover has other issues and it's not talent!

They arguably have the best facilities in the state, one if not the best funded public school districts in the state. (Have you seen their new Admin building also?) So what else is lacking, they get good community support most of their games are packed (More of a small college atmosphere). What other excuses are there?

Dover coaching is trash....all their losses this year have come to being out coached or having a poor game plan...Dover coach did prepare the players for the game and they as such...Great job by St Thomas More...they're definitely building something special at that school...with these tournament wins that school attendance is about to skyrocket

Impressive in the lay-up line is not really a skill.

New kid to the school. Sometimes goes "ME not WE". The kids get an opportunity to see if they are on is spot on. Should have dished on the drive into the lane, open help on the right, and got stuck in the air going baseline. Tournament time, get it done or your done. Best thing is the next game is a new game and he will get his chance.

M2m not saying layup line is a skill. Again heard he was talented as a ball player and he looked impressive with his shot and bounce in layup line.
8az his kid might turn it over but he looked pretty ok penetrating and dishing and has a competitive edge. Not scared to make mistake. #3 pg mount had turnovers but is ok 11th grader too. What point guards in DE don't have them. Think this was good experience for his team. Mount is mostly seniors with way more playoff experience then Newark players that why I thought they did ok.
Prediction.... Delcastle senior guards are better then most and might get to the chip!
