I just read a detailed article that will remove Colonial from Wilmington as well as
Christiana.

Now, Removing Colonial will send all of the kids In the Riverside area to Brandywine.

Removing Christiana will send Glasgow, Newark and Christiana kids to RED Clay Schools, which will most likely boost the enrollment of AI, then add 500-1000 kids to Dickinson and McKean making them Flight A school and giving both school a larger talent pool.

Will this MATTER Next Season For ALL Sports...... Opinions

I doubt it will ever happen. That would cripple Christiana, Newark, and Glasgow. Their numbers are ALREADY dropping each year. If you take the Wilmington population out of those schools, two if not all three would have to combine.

Just my thoughts........... Guess we will find out Feb. 27th!

Already on the works.
The first pillar was stopping all charter applications until 2017 for NEW charter schools.
IT WOULD BE CRAZY TO SEE
NEWARK
GLASGOW
CHRISTIANA
IN FLIGHT B

I think the whole thing makes sense.. If my understanding is correct the when Wilmington High closed the Wilmington kids were dispersed all over as to not add to much to each school than they could handle.. Well times have changed and schools like Dickinson and McKeen, Brandywine and Mt Pleasant have dwindled to the point they can take all these kids and get back up as well as they are closer to the city.. It doesn't make sense to bus the kids out to Glasgow or Newark when closer schools need students..

Also Glasgow and Christiana are already D2 schools (Glasgow moving to D2 next year) The caveat may be they may do away with school choice as well as you all know its been used by schools on the past to build dynasty teams (IE Newark football) who knows ...but Brandywine, McKeen, Mt Pleasant , Dickinson and AI stand to get a boost and maybe return to past years glory.. I doubt Newark would fall to D2 enrollment unless there is a questionable amount of Wilmington kids enrolled there through school choice

Also factor in the issue that happened at Newark this year with the brawl between kids from Wilmington that stemmed from warring gang members from two areas of the city.. my guess is the Christina District would not fight the change and may even be a driving force behind the scenes
