It’s still very early with a lot of basketball left to play but there are a few teams starting to separate a little. Any thoughts Or predictions on who will earn the top 8 spots in the tourney and a first round bye??

I think middle of February we'll have a better idea because teams still have make-up games and who knows what the rest of winter will bring.

Top 8 if I had to guess though:

Cape
Smyrna
Sanford
Penn
Sallies
Mount
Sussex Tech
CR

Piont system wise .. Its hard to to do right now.. Half way threw. Then you got to add out of state teams records in too... 30 more days and then we should have a better idea...

Agreed! Was just curious of how everyone felt about all the teams throughout the state, personally have only got to see Henlopen North games this year being as though I’ve been back and forth between DE and NC. Figured why not talk playoffs, get insight on how other teams are... my prediction goes....

1. Cape
2. Smyrna
3. Sanford
4. Tech
5. WP
6. Caravel
7. Sallies/ or St G
8. CR

1.Cape
2.Smyrna
3. William Penn
4. Sanford
5. St. Georges
6.. Mount Pleasant
7.Caravel
8. St. E
Caesar Rodney when healthy
Sussex Tech
Sallies

The 8th spot is up for grabs. Remember it is a point system. The Henlopen North will beat each other up. If Caesar is healthy they would be top 3 or 4. Sussex Tech has a tough schedule and has an opportunity to make some noise. Mount Pleasant will finish strong. Will be interesting to see how the north shapes up. Tech has yet to go to Smyrna, Caesar Rodney, Sallies and Cape. Then they have William Penn left also. They pick up good playoff points from Woodbridge and their loses were 2 pts (playoff points). WB will have good playoff points. Will be interesting to see where Newark Charter and Red Lion are seeded with the point system. They could compete for that 8th spot (Play off Points).

@mmorris728 , agree with the injuries, good to see Burke back, if Palmer makes it back, that would be a hugh lift for CR, he had a great fall league. He can rebound, score and has a good handle...difinitely another scoring threat inside and out.

Lmao why does no one like sallies. They've got to be pretty good to Beat WP and have a close game with Sanford.
Piont system wise .. They will nowhere near top 8.. They beat Penn by 2 pionts first game of season... Not hating on Sallies. .. But lost 4 games ... Think 3 of the last 4...

Neither will get the 8th spot either.. Dont play enough teams with winning. Records.. Piont system is
1. 2 pionts for win
2. 1 piont lost to team .501 winning record
3. 2 pionts lost to team .701 winning record
4. 1 bonus piont for beating a team .501 winning record
5. 2 bonus pionts for beating a team .701 winning record
