POLL: Laurel vs Caravel

There's a reason Savage transferred to Upstate so he didn't have to play in the Henlopen Conference for 4 years, and get beat up week in and week out.

I hope "scrappy" means : tough, talented and well coached...because to beat these bucs that's what you need.....

I think this just goes to show that reading the papers and comparing a couple scores doesn't make you an expert.

Laurel wins 25-20...how ya like them apples? All that talk it still gets settled on the field, and guess what? We settled it....have a nice off season! Oh, and it's not just softball we own Caravel in!

CA's offense moved at will, but turned the ball over twice in the red zone on fumbled snaps. A couple other turnover were the killers. Hard to win on the road when you keep giving the ball away.

Over the years, Caravel has struggled against Laurel in the playoffs with 3 losses in 4 games.

They don't want to see laurel in anymore sports ha ha. Pretty much owned by the bulldogs right now.

ok...so carvel wins 9 out of 10...that is a joke my down state fellow delawareans. Congrats

Ok so Caravel only beats them 9 out of 10 times....kidding. Congrats to my fellow lower delawareans. It's good to see a little diversity. I did not see the game, but i have been sticking up for the Laruel team with all the talk about "CA beating them up and down the field, and less the CA turnovers CA wins handedly". I keep hearing it was one of those games where clearly the better team did not win. But I answer...."you cant turn it over".

Congrats the rest of the rest of the way, it appears you get a cake walk this week with Friends, but that is the benefit of playing Div II.

Caravel 208 yds Rushing, 128 yds passing.. 336 total yds and a severe case of fumbleidas.. recipe for loss..

and for those wondering about Savage's involvment... 21 carries for 112 2TD's and 5 receptions for 63 and 1TD

I was at the game...both teams dominated offensively. Caravel didn't outplay laurel, and guess what...holding onto the football is part of the game...it's not an excuse your can use, it's a necessity. Just like picking up first downs, you have to hold the football...
