Preseason Predictions

We thought Mount would win last year, but Stan Waterman and Mikey Dixon had other ideas. Won't be as easy this year either because St. E's will be good as will Smyrna, St. Georges, St. Thomas More, etc.
Coach needs to just let them play. They played Saint Thomas more in the play day on Sunday and didn't have much of a hard time beating them.

For as long as you guys have watched Lisa coach, you KNOW that isn't the way she does things and two trips to the Bob says she shouldn't change her plan either. They still have the talent to win it all playing within the system. If Cramer takes even a small step forward, they're a team to beat, no questions asked.

I agree her system got her to the Bob... But it also cost her 2 titles too.... Sometimes you got to put the system aside and turn your players loose.... Phil Jackson had Mike and Kobe in his triangle system.. When it didnt at Times ... He turn them loose ...

Just left Cape vs Salliies at Cape... Cape is really good...handled Sallies easily... Sallies had no guards handle Cape pressure..

Sallies Coach does not play scrimmages for victories, he uses them to workout his jv & bench players. I'm getting a difference report from Cape. Appearantly he sat Ingraham & Kempski for most of the scrimmage, so Cape was basically playing their best versus Sallies bench. Sallies is weak @ gaurd spot with only Kempski but the reports I'm getting is that when him and Ingraham on the court together Cape looked outclassed. Haley does this every year & set people up for beatings during season

Ingram Only had 7 Points..... Cape didnt have starters in whole game either....
Who cares what any of the kids had it counts 0. High school scrimmages are not designed like that, it's not about wins loses etc, it's about preparing your team for the season, same as fall league. u want to find out who on your bench can help, this is their chance to shine. I don't blame him for sitting Ingraham & Kempski to test other kids. Cape played their best for 3 of 4 quarters, sallies did for only 1, the first out of 4 quarters when they dismantled Cape with ease just as they did Parkside in first scrimmage. The 4th quarter was bench players from both teams a smart move by Cape's coach. From all reports all three teams played awful, lots of turnovers, complete mess, ugly basketball. That's what scrimmages are for to see where your teams at and the work needed. I'm still waiting for an objective evaluation of Barnes, looks like I'm going to have go see him play myself.

Barnes played well in the Parkside scrimmage , looked to be able to get his own shot when needed and ran the point pretty well , i would say he seemed pretty mature for a freshman until he involved himself in a unnecessary altercation at the end of the scrimmage , all in all I think he will have a great year
