Quarterbacks????

You want a level playing field? Stop bussing kids from Eastside Wilmington to Penn and create a City High School. Stop bussing kids from Middletown to Howard vo-tech. Is it fair that you ride by 2 or 3 other Vo-techs just to get to Howard? You want fair? Get rid of school choice bc it's killing certain schools (Christiana). Some schools will never pass a referendum bc half the folks voting kids don't even attend that school. So why vote yes? That ain't t fair enough?

DIAA has so much more to worry about than transfers and basketball players rolling up their Shorts *Another dumb rule*

It sucks bc DIAA is pretty poor at parenting. They should not have any right to punish a kid for seeking a better opportunity. Do you get punished for seeking more perks at a better job? Let the parents and the kid do what they feel is best. Leave it up to that school to take that transfer or not. Even limit amount of transfers a school can take but don't force a kid to sit out an entire year for seeking a better opportunity. That's not America.

So the possibility of seeking good coaching, becoming a better QB and or looking to get a better college look bc hey Smyrna is ESTABLISHED can't be a reason for transfer? Only ring chasing?

Sure! and that decision was made Saturday November 19th the morning after Caravel beat Glasgow 21-16.

He's in school to be educated. He doesn't have to sit out in the classroom. Just from sports. Sports should be secondary or even tertiary (beyond secondary for you dummies). If he's a good enough athlete he can get a ride to college playing anywhere.

If this kid needs to transfer to Smyrna to get a college look than he doesn't deserve a college look. Plus let's be real. I'm from smyrna and love it but come on. Big time colleges aren't recruiting smyrna (just Leddie and possibly Will if they're smart)

So playing with those guys will increase his ability to be seen. When they look at tape of those 2 they see him also. Happens all the time.

I agree School is first but when DIAA says students only need a 2.0 to play it makes me wonder. If you really cared you would say a 2.5.

I strongly believe in education and I strongly dislike punishing kids for seeking a better opportunity

Certain coaches network and have college contacts while other coaches don't. Transferring to a school with a coach will who has developed those relationships will most definitely get you a look.

Judy's contacts are at Wesley. You could be legally dead, both from an intelligence and athletic standpoint, and still get into that school.

Guess the kid living in Smyrna went over most of you guys head...pretty easy decision

And Some of you have no idea what your talking about...every school that recruits Delaware nowadays makes a stop at Smyrna high before leaving the state...

You guys are worse than high school girls with the gossip and carrying on

Just being that guy but wasn't there a guy named Rockchalk something who chased the glory at Red Lion and then ECA, who was trying to sell the kool aid to everyone. Think he finished at Caravel though....

Just saying of course.

I was actually hoping to see Knight play QB. He would have thrown for a slightly less than 1k but would have ran for 2. He would have been first team QB easy

He was only at Caravel one year. He was a rising freshman but Argoe also came to CA. It was iobvious in summer 7v7 Argoe was the heir apparent to Groomes and the kid would be asked to change positions. The kid when school started decided to repeat 8th grade at Caravel and didn't even bother to play for the MS team but played rec at MOT. Then went to Glasgow Now Smyrna. Chasing the carrot.

What a complete JOKE!
I love the "decided" to repeat 8th grade
.....based on comments that were on here but have since mysteriously disappeared , I gotta believe there may have been some questionable activities that occurred.....

Questionable activities? What are you suggesting?

Just for comparisons sake, both Reeder kids repeated 8th grade I'm guessing solely for football purposes so they could play with younger kids and look better in comparison. 16 years old as freshman. Will Knight was 14 as a freshman...just FYI

So are you suggesting he repeated for athletic purposes (not a crime, Sallies loves that sort of thing) or something else?

The joke is the fact that you guys continue to sit on here and discuss my son thinking its all good. If any of you have something that we need to discuss please provide me with contact info and we can arrange that. We can discuss man to man instead of like school kids on a message board. Raven I've addressed your bogus scenario that you continue to talk about. Yet you still post it as if its factual.... so to me your either an idiot or purposely being disrespectful. Disrespect and lies about my family I don't take very lightly. I have been made aware of who you are and what you look like and saw you at the state championship game. So believe that if and when I see you walking around in your caravel gear and dusty army fatigue caravel hat all of this will be addressed. My son entered caravel as an 8th grader. There was no decision made after we got there or anything to do with any other kids being there. Pretty sure Caravel wouldn't even allow that... he was enrolled and started as an 8th grader there from day one. He only played basketball for caravel and didn't play for the middle school football team because the competition level of the middle school team wasn't better than that at MOT. Not to mention he played for me as I was his coach at MOT so knowing what he needed to work on I kept him with me one more year so he would be ready to play varsity ball the following year. At the end of the year as all families do that have 8th graders at a private school we decided he was gonna be attending high school somewhere else. I have also addressed the football side of things with you as well in regards to the system they ran at that time not being the right system for Isaiah. That's it... that's all

Now in regards to him transferring... It's a move. We lived in Wilmington and purchased new construction in Smyrna. End of story... Does it make sense for him to continue to attend Glasgow and now drive 45 minutes to school both ways or go to the school in the feeder which is 5 minutes from the house? Who also happens to be a very good school and offers a great athletic program? That also runs the best spread system in the state and offers the best staff in the state? Is this really a question? Its a no brainer.

So Raven please worry about your kid and his ability and why he wasn't good enough to play at the next level. And yes I know who he is as well and remember seeing him play. Maybe if you spent more time communicating with people that actually mattered instead of gossiping on a message board you wouldn't have to live in his high school days. Maybe if you did your job and made better decisions for him he would have had better opportunities. You guys still show up in Caravel gear and letterman jackets to games that Caravel isn't even playing in. He's been out of high school for how long now and you still act like he's still playing there??? I guess that's all there is for you though.... please keep your opinions about my kid and his talent level to yourself because your evaluation of kids abilities is terrible. Same way you've said other kids who have went on to get offers and play at the next level weren't that good either. Yet your son is the one who truly wasn't that good. Trust me we will be fine and the only opinions that matters are those of the college coaches we have been talking with.

Again... provide me with a contact and we can meet and talk like men...other wise keep my kid or our family out of your mouth. This will be my only post... not anything else to address. Good day gentleman.

Raven will never cash you outside, howbow dah? Many fathers have offered to chat in person with him and I doubt he's accepted any of those invitations

Why do you even care what someone says on a forum? You don"t even post or frequent here. Well except when someone says something about your kid then you come on here with this man to man stuff. If I had something to say to you in person i would. I don't really care that much. If what someone says on an anonymous forum gets your panties in bunch then just dont come here. Forums Are what they are mostly gossip, "opinion" and entertainment to pass the time. If thats not to your liking then dont read it. As for my kid he is just fine and doing what he wants to do and doing it well... not everyone thinks playing college ball is a big deal.. I have met and talked with quite a few posters on here and pretty much we just talk football or whatever but not about this silly forum

You don't really need to explain yourself to me or anyone else.. I just have an opinion based on what I was told and saw.. and that is all it is just an opinion...sorry if my opinion matters so much to you.. by the way I still have another kid in Caravel and our family still supports the school and teams no one is living through anything..whats the big deal?

raven, just grow up, you act like you know everything and you know know nothing. Get a life. This father just proved everything you said about his son was wrong. You just got put in your place, so learn from it. and BTW, raven has changed his name on here multiple times because of this same issue. He is a coward. Also when people started talking about his son, he flipped out. Can dish it out, but cant take it......

your full of shit.. I changed my name once and only because my anonymity was compromised... not that that mattered much because everyone knows who I am now anyway. this father didn't prove anything and made up his own opinions on my son and me which are wrong but I respect he has his opinion and his right to voice it... bottom line is neither of you two know me you just have your opinions based on my forum persona or what you perceive that to be. Reading comprehension is a funny thing on these forums.. posts are perceived in the attitude of the reader not the intent of the writer... some folks just take this stuff way to serious and why it is supposed to be anonymous..

really.... that is not why you changed your name, but that's another story. Bottom line is you don't know what you are talking about most of the time and love trying to be the guru of HS football in DE. And Guess what, your not! Just go back and read all his RLC BS and anyone can see that he is full of it.

Raven you talk about people and their kids and then say they take stuff to seriously? Then your saying stuff that doesn't even seem to be very accurate... What do you expect to happen? I've seen that dad address this with you and correct you on this before but yet you keep saying the same thing. Why keep posting it in the way that your posting it if it's inaccurate? I could understand if you never got their part of the story.. But you have

maybe I don't believe all of it.. why would everyone say the kid was a incoming Freshman during 7on7? If he wasn't it would be against the rules for him to even be on the field in practice or the games.. Why were other folks from Smyrna in this very thread saying the kid has lived in Smyrna not just moved there? none the less I will admit I was wrong to bring this up again and won't mention it again..its their business not mine.. I will try and just stick to commenting on the games.lesson learned .I hope

I apologize to Mr Wilson and family if I disseminated any misinformation. I do think Isaiah is a fine QB and should do well at Smyrna with Coach Marks..

75% of the stuff discussed on this board is hearsay, rumor or bs... So this is not surprising... Good luck to your son Mr. Wilson

like it or not...ravensrooster & i have had our back and fourths and i was pissed and ready to hunt him down but at the end of the day this is a public forum. we may not like what is posted or agree with it but it is what it is. opinions that differ with our own shouldnt be met with name calling and threats. raven gives alot of insight and loves to play the devils advocate, its what the forum is all about. imagine if there were no rumors or controversy on this forum, its impossible because we all see through different experiences and eyes.
Forum (plural forums or fora) may refer to:

That was a stellar post 84... but I dont remember ever getting into anything with you but that isn't saying much as I dont remember much of what I posted or is posted..memory issues aside well said..signed RR2 aka DaDebil
