Tom Moore fired today. Gotta think Mikey isn't happy with that news. Terrific season MD had and I hope they bring in a coach that continues to showcase his skills.

I would think whoever QU brings in that they would want to keep the kid who won rookie of the year and averaged 16 points a game, but you never can tell with these administrations. Hopefully Mikey does what's best for him.

When the coach who recruited u gets fires it's a good idea to transfer. U never know what's the new guys philosophy or whether u will get the same respect for your talent. Coaches like the players they recruit the most & make recruiting promises to kids and their parents. Ultimately they have to put the best on the floor to win but if there is any parallel with performance u can almost guarantee the player they recruited will get favorable treatment. He would be best served transferring to a school in a better conference that wants him.

That's why I sent the note. Gives him a window but not playing for a year would stink. I think he would be great in the A10 or AAC (uconn). UD would not help his career.

I honestly thought Mikey was going to play one year at QU. I thought he would kill it one year and transfer. No doubt in my mind schools will offer him if he announces he's transferring. Hard to find players who are both high level shooters and ball handlers. Plus he has 3 years of eligibility left which will make him attractive.

He's a Communications major. Delaware is a pretty good school for that.
Delaware is a good school but not for sports, if a kid's ambitious and wants to be a pro I would go to at minimum a A10 school like St. JOE'S with a coach who knows how to produce pros. If he comes here he would get caught up in the mediocrity of a weak sports state & institution.

Yes pro...I'm pretty sure he would easily be able to land a career overseas at the least if he continues to improve his game.
Wow. Hope you're right. Long way from Quinipcacic to the pros

Easily? Good to know.

Yes...I know of a number of players who have made careers out of playing overseas whose ceilings weren't as high as his which is why I said if he continues to improve his game he has a really good shot at that.

Not at all. You would probably be surprised to see how many small college players including players from that MAAC conference end up with professional basketball careers after college overseas.

We have 4 alone from DE that played in that same conference that come to mind playing overseas...

Anthony Myles (Polytech/Rider)
Deon Jones (Sanford/Monmouth)
AJ English (Appo/Iona)
Pieter Prinsloo (Dover/Marist)

These are just a few that jump out from the MAAC but I'm sure there are more.
