We live in a right now culture. Thanks to Tech schools and school choice kids have very little loyalties to their community schools. So that sense of pride and true rivalry gets lost. Right now Cape vs Tech has replaced Cape vs Central (battle of Rt. 9) as rivalry. Central hasnt been as good as they have in the past and Tech has stepped up there game. Cape is Cape and will always have that BUZZ (even when they dont deserve it). Tech winning of late has a lot to do with the shift and that band is FIRE

Well put stripes! And until Laurel beats Seaford at least 83 to nothing a lot of long time Laurel die hard fans will not be satisfied and you know what I am talking about!

With the second half mercy rule (which was not in place in the years in question) I'm not sure you'll ever see it. Laurel could have put those numbers up last year as it was 63-0 at the half. That was my retirement game (at my request). I never thought the first half would end.

Those that keep saying Laurel/Seaford is the big rivalry, all you have to do is check out Laurel's coaches FB to know Laurel/Delmar is the real rivalry! Plus he played in it, so I think he would know
