The Elephant in the room is Smyrna was hit a little bit by the grades and discipline bug.. Not going to name names but it has effected their timing and passing game as some guys have been missing..

I am sure they are.. only it only counts for incomplete's and hardships as I am sure you know.. You can't extra credit your way in after grades come out otherwise
 
They have to ride Will Knight to the chip. Other than that I remain silent but its essentially Reeder vs Knight IMO
 
Ohh because grades came out a few weeks ago I'm a little confused how they are still being affected?

Um Because Penn shut down their regular O? with ease,, Sure Knight killed them with the wildcat,, You think that will happens vs Sals? Your kidding yourself..
 
Most of them are kids... They are allowed to self destruct every once in awhile. I'm sure Coach Judy and his staff will coach them up to give us all the epic game that we are all anticipating. Remember Knight isn't 19 he's only 15 that's a lot to put on a kids shoulders. I say this will be one of the best playoff games we will all see played...

NO they are not allowed to self destruct... And adults are charged to prevent it and not to accept it...particularly not , coaches ,teachers and parents.

im definitely not here to argue... I'm just saying that they are kids and sometimes we forget that when commenting about them. I agree Penn was totally prepared for Smyrna's offense. I'm sure that they will make some adjustments and hopefully make it a great game for all of us to watch. If not it's been a great run and I'm sure they will be back again next year. I feel it's a win, win for Smyrna...

I just speak my mind in my current state.. and who is to say what that state is?.. One thing is for sure it has zero pending on anyone else's opinion. Could it be chemically induced well yes that is a possibility
 
Stop this nonsense.The Slowskys are playing with a JV QB. Their defense is spotty. They gave up 56 points and over 500 yards passing to Smyrna last game. Smyrna beat them up so bad that the Sals had nothing left and got beat by a middle of the road Father Judge team the next week.

This is Smyrna's game by a solid margin. The Eagle defense has improved immeasurably since that game.
The Sals Oline is still a work I progress in week #13?
Knight is the offensive POY.

All signs point to a raging Smyrna victory.

It won't be close the Slowskys can't stop Smyrna.

I agree 100% but that's a whole other topic... Like I said before I think it will be an epic game that non of us want to miss.
 
Not buying that Bummy... I think Sallies wins this.. Not because Smyrna is not talented or good enough to win... Sallies has just been here before and Reeder will beat Knight.. Smyrna has choked up in the big games.. I am rooting for Smryna no doubt but just think Sallies experience wins out here..

...and when did Smyrna choke,up in a big game? They destroyed their conference. They are 11-1 and beat the defending state champs on the road in a different time slot than they usually play. They did this when losing their QB who is the best DE HS QB since Darius Wade. Come on raven!

They turned the ball over to Sallies .. 3 picks by QB and the they were tight vs Penn until QB got hurt vs Penn.. The only two good teams they played/ They show a propensity to play tight in big games.. IMO Reeder is the the the best player and will run this.. Smyrna doesn't have the D to keep Knight on pace...but its just an opinion not fact

I am sure Smyrna got better on D but bit its not like they imported a bunch of studs,, Reeder will still score 4 plus and 300 plus yards,,, Knight may match that,, Sals will just win the turn over battle again IMO

I agree that Smyrna got off to a shaky start against the Slowskys. Then they proceeded to dominate the rest of the game. I think they will make the Slowskys eat another Fifty Burger. Raven, you have been a big critic of the Slowsky pass defense this year. What changed?
 
whats changed? Smyrna's O has changed for one and Sallies still won by 20.. I dont think Smyrna's O or team today has closed that gap...its that simple...

There is nothing that suggest to me Sallies wont run it down Smyrna's throat.. Certainly not Penn's O

haha.. I really don't care who wins. I think it's great what Smyrna has done. Don't confuse firing up the forum and having fun with anything serious.. but seriously I think Sals takes it..but would not be surprised if the Eagles pull it off.

FYI.... after 2? blasphemy!.. I think I am good up until 4 or 5 then it starts to deteriorate lol

Throwing out the Poly game there has been a shift in the O.. They went from running 18-20 times a game to 37.. which is the crux of my thinking Sals will win.. I don't think Smyrna can beat Sals playing their game.. I think they need the balanced attack..

bummy claims SALS were dominated in first game. I am sure if domination equals winning by 20 SALS will accept another domination. Bummy can be so silly at times
