I was at AI last night and they were making commercial jokes over the PA about Driver's Ed and everything but the game. Jon Buzby tweeted that there shouldn't be this many blowouts in week 8. Normally I'd agree, but it's a different day - the teams that are out of it have clearly clocked out. Some kids have their minds on winter sports, others just want football to be over.

I can't believe last night's Tech/Smyrna score. Did Smyrna have players suspended.? Was Judy suspended for a game?. Were a lot of players ill. Never saw a team fall into the dumper that quickly before

Judy was still suspended and apparently the school suspended Marks for the season..No players out that I know of. Smyrna tanked it early and the line got their QB killed. Kid was getting pounded. QB didnt return for 2nd half they had the FR in there and well he was killed too..Worst O-Line play I have seen from Smyrna in quite awhile. Not to take anything away from Techs Dline they were bringing it and finishing with a vengeance. Smyrna D couldn't tackle anyone and Dline getting blown off the ball.. Custis had a field day out there.. That's the long and short of it

I know that a lot for regulars thought I was trying to razz the Sals with talking about how athletic Sussex Tech was and how good their defense was against the Sals. I mean dominating. But the Sals got that safety and with 2 minutes left with ST bunched up on the line #21 busted one for 90 plus and 9-0 was the score. In all honesty the bout was even!!

Let's be real. This is all about who is #2 as Middletown is head and shoulders above everybody else. I guess we are looking at Hodgson and Central with the Sals trying to get one of the last 3 spots.

D1 is not stellar.

Well thats kind of a big one.. could explain why Custis ran roughshod..NOt that it would have made the difference in winning but certainly could have helped eliminate some of the breakout runs.. Tech might have had to work for it a bit more

I stopped at this game as I just got off work right by Concord.
That field was SOOO bad, very disappointed coaches didn’t move game to yesterday afternoon or Monday. Fortunately no injuries for either team, and what is going on at Concord?

Same as always.. bad coaching..sure they do OK when they have the studs.. but look how those studs are struggling at the next level needing to be coached up to get on the field and in some cases deemed uncoachable and moved along.. Its a shame but that wouldn't have happened if they went to other programs who held them accountable and made them play within a system and learn a job...sounds harsh but its the truth.. Watch them play D every kid is just chasing the ball trying to make a big play ..No structure at all and dont get me started on the O lol Bottom line is Concord has as much talent in Flight A roll through there as anyone and they cant either get them on the feild or coach them up to contend.. Sure the kids are pretty hard headed and difficult but its the coaches job to reach them.. Penn was/is the same way but Dooley got to them and made things happen ..just saying
