Pathetic UD football team. Embarrassing. Glad I ditched my season tickets when Keeler was fired. This is a joke.

6-6 Howard and Mount Pleasant at halftime. Interesting game for D1 and D2 seeding purposes obviously.
Sad to see what has happened to UD football. I remember so vividly the packed stands and sold out games. Hate to see this program so marginalized.
Interestingly, I was having a beer and talking football with Pat Harker prior to his departure from UD. He spoke of his concerns for the future of football at the collegiate level. The huge financial commitment and the heightened legal exposure due to injuries - head injuries especially - are making schools think more seriously about the game.
To me, it seems like some schools have intentionally sabotaged programs to help make the financial case for eliminating programs a bit easier. The pressure from faculty and other non-sports interests is also creating incredible pressure. I served as athletics committee chair on the Alumni Board for my alma mater (not UD) several years ago. The rhetoric from these interests was disgraceful. It was tough to keep my cool as these idiots try to destroy the great traditions of the college experience.

I really hope that's not the case, BUT I can see it. Delaware can definitely be the tester because UD was fielding championship teams year in and year out til recently and DSU, although always behind the 8 ball financially was competitive in the MEAC.
The special interests folks are a pain, I have no problem saying it. Sports brings a campus together and if the sports suck, what else will students bond over?

It's a wrap. Archmere 17, DMA 2. St. Georges, if my calculations are correct, is now in the driver's seat for the top seed in D2.
St G is the clear cut favorite in D2..but thats not saying much D2 is very week this year, to be honest the whole state of DE is weak this year.. our best team lost to a 5-4 Father Judge team from PA

Yeah, DMA losing to an average Archmere team settles it for me. St. G's gonna run roughshod over this field, which is room-temp water.

Well that settles it, tell the other 7 teams in D2 to not even bother playing.... Nobody is clear cut right now.
That is a big win for that team, especially heading into the Boxwood Road battle with DMA next week.
Yes St G is... its not that difficult to figure out.. of course the other teams should show up but they will lose .. just saying
