yep.. they should be a contender most years with the talent that rolls through there...for the life of me I don't understand why they aren't.. well yes I do know why but it would not be PC for me to say

You guys need to be easier on Red Lion. I know there is a lot of vitriol still left over from the Sills days, but you need to give it up. The current administration, coaches and players are TOTALLY different from then, and they are trying hard to build the program back the right way. They know that they are not very good right now, but give them some time and they will be competitive in a year or two. The schedule is one of the toughest in the state for what they have, but that will begin to change next year. Say what you will, but they have won 3 out of 16 games since they returned, and could have won 2 more. That is 3 more than some other teams have won in that same period. Also, they show up for every game, and they don't drop teams who would be too tough, unlike Christiana did last year and Saint Andrews did this year. So please give them a break!

God had plans for the Sills. Betters and Red Lion interfered with those plans and are being punished.

Well who really paid for the nonsense? Red Lion was essentially bankrupt with all the spending! I think God actually sent his arch angel Betters to put a stop to it. I like that they are trying to get back on track. Good luck to them

no Betters swooped in and stole the property at Sills bequest.. Sills was a member of Glasgow church.. I was standing right next to the AD and Betters as they were talking.. Betters flat out said he was on board with the direction of the football team,, When the papers were signed he did an about flip.. They had a meeting with the students and the students were told if they want to stay there there would be no more financial aide and they would have to get jobs and pay their way.. I also got emails from folks from the Glasgow church that Betters is coming in with his mighty sword and going to cut out the cancer (meanings inner city black kids) SO yes I have an issue with Glasgow Church and the Betters .. Betters son has been quoted on Twitter tweeting.. None of these kids are going to college or are worthy,, They are thugs.. Well many of them did .. these folks are hypocrites and i have no respect for any of them

Glad to see them rising above the circus that they had going on there and more importantly doing it before it was too late and the school folded. There was a web site that use to be up documenting and chronicling the whole shit show. It was maintained by a unknown person but they had 1st hand intimate knowledge of what was going on. It was pretty clear what was the problem. If Betters is responsible for removing the "problem" and saving the school then good for him. Red Lion was floundering and now it's growing. I wish them all the best.

I never realized, or intended, that my comments would cause such a stir. I KNOW that Red Lion is not a good team right now, and I also know that they will never be a powerhouse. The kids who are playing there also know this. They also believe that if they stick with it they will get better over time, and so do I. They do not even know what happened there over 5 years ago. They just know that they have a team now and they want to play, and they are doing so every week without quitting because they love the game, even though they know that they are likely to get their butts beat every week. All I'm saying is that it is time to forget old history, and leave these kids alone.
