STMA-Dover tied @ 31 after 3 qtrs.

Appo-41 Smyrna-53 w/ 2:13 left in the game. Appo went on a run w/ Cale trying to will them to victory w/ Worthy out but he returned & got 2 quick buckets to stretch it back out.

Wooow Dover...smh. St. Thomas More is on a mission & will be for the next few years. I guess they can officially be considered for real now. I think they have a good shot @ knocking off Concord-St. George's winner too. They have came along way & both the girls & boys basketball programs will experience the Bob.

Mount wins 53-42 Newark box and 1 burnett, and mount led 14-6 after 1st Q. then Drumgo-Sharpe for Newark caught fire and made it a game. big lift from Mounts Holland in the 3rd quarter 2 lay ups off of steals and a big 3 to close the quarter. Newark Cut it to 4 in the 4th then Burnett took over he finished with about 13 pts all in the 4thQ. Cramer caught a alley oop off the glass and it rallied the troops. Newarks Drumgo-Sharpe is a player man hit shots with players in his face all night he gave it everything he had nothing to hang your head about young fella. great effort by Newark tonight but the better team won

Sanford 75-48 over Woodbridge. Foul-plagued contest but Dixon dominated and Walsh had a nice game also. Enjoyed the chatter with the Woodbridge fans around me- you'll be back next year!

Mount's depth helped them out big time tonight. Sharif Holland went on a one-man gang rally to end the third and Raheim did the same thing in the 4th quarter. The first game nerves are gone now, so this will be a great game with Smyrna on Sunday. Only mismatch I see for the quarters is Sanford vs. Milford.

So Milford did beat St. E's tonight?

Just looked at the box score- Dixon had 30 points and shot 20 FTs... Walsh had 21 points. And that on a night where Mikey was off from long-range.

I said I would have liked to see how C. Corbin fared against Sanford & just saw the box score said he finished w/ 2 pts. Did Sanford run the box & 1 on him as I heard they did to contain Dover's Jordan Allen earlier in the year? If so that is some serious game planning. I also saw Mikey Dixon dropped 30 again..he is on an entire different level than anyone player n DE this year.

No, Sanford didn't do anything special on defense. I just don't think Woodbridge had come across a defense as intense as Sanford's... Lots of points created off steals and turnovers. Just looking at their schedule, there was not really a game they played that would have prepared them for tonight. Next year they might want to add a couple of games against better teams if they can during the regular season.

Corbin just couldn't seem to get in any kind of offensive rhythm. He was on Dixon defensively most of the night so maybe he was a little tired or they got in his head (no excuse)? Agree that Sanford's d was very strong and created problems all night. Can't believe Dixon "only" had 30 points - seemed like he was scoring almost every possession! Glad to get to see him play in person - is most definitely the real deal. Even though it ended up a blow out Woodbridge put in a pretty solid effort for about 2.5 qtrs. No seniors on the squad so hopefully they build from this and come back strong next year. Is Sanford's #13 really just in 8th grade? Why can't we grow kids that big down south???

That makes sense...I didn't expect Woodbridge to challenge Sanford but I was curious to see C. Corbin's #s vs them cuz I like how he attacks. Sanford's defense is always intense which is where their winning ways begins @ but I would have never seen that shutdown. I have always said that I would like to c the Henlopen South teams schedule tougher competition & mentioned that in a previous post & how I respected Milford for doing so this year & just so happens they are @ the Bob.

I like Woodbridge to run through the Henlopen South next year & if what I heard about Palmer from Sussex Tech back there @ Woodbridge then they just may be @ the Bob next year.

I have not seen the 8th grader Davis yet but will this Sunday.

Really? Milford loses some players, but the Bucs will be pretty good next year as well. Not taking anything away from Woodbridge, just stating Milford might put a cramp in that run is all.

Milford may BUT I'm thinking Woodbridge would be the early favorite w/ both Corbins back & if Palmer is there I highly expect them to win the South.
