I think the game of trash-talking and high-school basketball is getting out of control due to social media. The game belongs on the court, not on the instagram, the twitter or the Facebook. Lots of times I see players using hashtags like:

#YCGM - you can't guard me
#ismbty - I'm so much better than you
#Ijky - i just kissed (could be killed) you
#ypgbyncr - you're pretty good, but you're no connor rufo

Anyone else just think that the game of basketball is being influenced my social media?

I'm glad someone finally brought up this point, I am a firm believer that all trash talk should take place between the lines, not online. Nothing infuriates me more than seeing hashtags like:

#BBC - big ballers crib
#GHW - go 'head watch
#MILF - man it's lay finna
#OOSSAOTCFS - only official schlong slingers allowed on this court fo shizzle
#CoachQuilAcademy

I honestly think that awareness is the only way to put a stop to this nonsense
