St. George’s & Sanford/Salisbury Tournament

I saw that St. George’s dropped their third straight game yesterday 62-59 to a 3-5 Gilman School out of Maryland...anyone have the details on the game? St. George’s has Stephen Decatur (5-0) tonight at 5:45PM who is considered the best team in The Bayside Conference there in MD & went 25-2 last year losing in the 3A semifinals. Their next game after that will be next Friday at Smyrna so this could be a tough early stretch for them.

Sanford is also playing Gray Collegiate Academy (SC) & Juwan Gary down in Salisbury who just loss 2 games at Slam Dunk To The Beach these past 2 days, which started at 5:00PM. I’m curious to see how Jyare Davis does vs a quality team/matchup like that. Anybody with updates &/or scores feel free to post.

The Gray collegiate guards lit it up from the perimeter. I saw them last night against Vermont and they were not a factor but today they got their shot off over Sanford guards. Juwan Gary was good but more of a team effort.

Now that is stuffing the stat sheet right there. Just to be clear Hyland is a junior right? Only asking cuz I see you put 2018 guard. He is the type of player that I think could have benefited heavily if moving out of state going to one of those bigger programs & reclassing getting that extra year & more exposure against top competition as well...such as how Ayala did.

That Bayside Conference in the Eastern Shore area has always been overrated...a lot of Henlopen South type of teams. That win will probably end up being a 4-point win come tournament time for St. George’s.

We beating around the bush let's just say it Davis doesn't play good defense. Talented kid but no D. Biggest issue for them is they need to figure out roles, everyone has to adjust to the fact the the ball runs through Davis offensively. Defensively he has to step up the effort.

Thats on Stan... He has to mold him into be a better defender..He allows Davis to sag off on defense... To get out on the wing a push the ball... Thats that bad AAU habit that Davis have to come out of... Not just hime big fella cant defend either. .. Stan just got to teach better defense to a younger team... Its all on Stan....

I judge year by year.. Nobody said they couldnt play.. Right now they just cant play defense.... I dont care wat sport you play.. You will always be judged.. I dont care you in 5,6, or 7 grade.. Thats just way it is...
