They lead by 17 at the half but AI made big run in 4th to cut lead to 2 with under a minute. Big play at the St George end with intentional foul called with about 20 seconds left gave Hawks 2 shots and the ball. They only got 1 point out of it but AI couldn't get off a decent shot at the end.
Hyland from St George hurt his right hip in last 2 minutes of first half. He played the 2nd half but clearly was in pain and only had one basket that I remember in 2nd.
Rawls made about 50 free throws to seal the win. He went a long way to winning POY with his second half carrying the team over the finish line.
AI has a scrappy squad and will be a tough team against anybody.
