St. G's up after 19-12 after 1 qtr...Hyland on a mission while Appo trying to deny Rawls the ball Hyland got loose for 8 quick pts. DeLoatch has about 9 of Appo's 12 & Cale has yet to get going having his first jump shot blocked by Hyland followed by an air ball from deep.

41-29 St. G's at the half. Hyland w/ about 14 & a few nice no look assists, Rawls taking what Appo gives him & the other sophomore #20 is playing hard on both ends giving them a boost when Appo cut the lead to 2. Cale got going a little bit getting to the free throw line a few times & had 2 monster 2-hand dunks.

St. G's up 58-53 after 3.

Appo playing triangle & 2 on Hyland & Rawls. Cale getting it going with a few more buckets including a 3 to end the qtr & 2 more 2-handed dunks w/ one coming off the backboard pass...he is all over that rim. He may have 22-25 pts after 3.

70-67 St. G's w/ 2:34 left...Cale continues to assault the rim single-handedly keeping Appo in the game. Meanwhile St. G's offense consists of getting the ball to Rawls on the inbounds & him going by the defender & stopping making them foul him & going to the line.

St. G's wins 79-70.

Hyland probably finished w/ somewhere around 25 while Rawls had to have had close to 30 w/ 20+ coming in the second half. He may have shot about 20 free throws & now I see how he shoots so many when I look @ the box scores.

Cale played hard in the second half & finished w/ 30+. His only made jump shot was to end the third qtr...if he had a consistent jump shot he would be unstoppable.

St. G's won this game because they had the smartest player on the court & he just happens to be their point guard. If they are in the game at the end or have a lead they will be hard to beat.
