I love Caravel pleading not to go to D3. They are undefeated in a multiyear span. They have 38 kids playing on the football team, all or most on scholarship. Howard had a gripe, they are a public school. St. Marks', the same thing start recruiting better. We all know it happens. If you dominate one division, you have built or rebuilt your program move up and take the challenge. We won every game in the last two years and won the championship game by 40 points, but we can't compete in the next division. Cry me a river!

Well they voted yes to the realignment.

But heard Tatnall and Caravel are both threatening to lawyer up and appeal. Also heard rumor that Caravel may have threatened to go independent if so. (Not sure how true that last one is though)

Lawyering up, Haha! That is as sad as the Ohio state rep, purposing a law against planting flags in the middle of the field in Ohio and making it a felony. People need to man up!

Howard is not really a public school...you have to apply and be admitted to the vo-tech district, which in turn gives students their first choice of schools as best they can. Funny, almost all Howard students are city residents, more true regarding the football players. That's probably recruiting, but no one is going to touch that topic because it will get, you know, misconstrued. They should have been bumped up to 3A. If caravel is down next year, it is only because they have been up for so long. 7-3 next year in 3A. What people will skip over in this new alignment is how Newark, Christiana and Glasgow are all 1A. All, and I mean all of their respective hay days in football are long gone. Sad the residents of the district have allowed this.

By allowing the patients to run the asylum. Newark charter is not the problem, the need for Newark charter is. Christina SD, like all the other SDs in NCC, have not had people on the board who have the best interest of education in mind for the last two decades. School boards and district offices are more concerned with keeping up the facade that all is well instead of dealing with the problems they created, most specifically discipline and the lack there of.

I stand by what I said earlier in the season, if Caravel was in 3A this year, they make the championship game and honestly I think they beat Middletown or Sallies, they compare favorably to both teams and are probably bigger than Middletown. They will be a playoff team next year in 3A. Remember Middletown has a LB that transferred from a 2A school and that kid is a hell of a player, but Caravel had their way with his defense last year, hell Archmere even had their way with his defense. That kid from Middletown is truly a great player but no greater than any of Caravel’s LBs. Talent compares very favorably in Caravel’s direction. Depth will be Caravel’s Achilles heel, they will be as good as anyone they play, starter for starter but if someone goes down or they are not in great shape, they will lose some games
