Ive watched the Calvert Hall vs Loyola game pretty much every year even went a couple of times.. Really fun... shame there is not something like that in DE .. Next year will be the 100th meeting of CHC vs Loyola on turkey day.. The 99th meeting was all CHC but we knew that going in but still love all the images of the fans in stands in their colors who come back home for the game for decades..Some families there are mixed colors lol

Growing in up in the Big W, it was PS du Pont - Wilmington High in the AM and Salesianum-Howard in the afternoon on Thanksgiving Day.

Yes, in that era the game was played at the old Wilmington Ballpark (the original Blue Rocks Stdium).
That park to my best recollection was at E. 34th and Governor Printz Blvd.

When WHS moved out to Lancaster ave and DuPont Rd. In 1961... They got a a real home field.
