Got off work early yesterday so decided to stop by the Delmar/Lake Forest JV game and Lake's JV team was not impressive. The final score was Delmar 36-6 and Delmar took a knee at the Lake one yard line to end the game.

After seeing their Varsity and JV teams this week, I don't see a very bright future for Lake Forest Football.

I wouldn't bet on it . I'm pretty sure that Lake has a lot of soph and jr's starting that will be back with experience.

And I'm sure Lake has Seniors with experience graduating who will be replaced by next year's sophomores currently playing on the JV team. Lose some experience gain some experience, but does the overall team get better?

especially D2 JV which most teams don't really have a JV team per say that practices as as JV team but puts the kids who didn't play in the Varsity game out there for a game..Any of the Freshman or Sophs who are any good get playing time at Varsity. Actually Lake doesn't play freshman on JV just Varsity and the Freshman team.Lakes JV are pretty much kids who will probably never see any significant Varsity time. Maybe a couple Sophs will.. Actually lake has a higher player participation than I thought they would.. Looks like the good Sophs and Freshmen play on varsity and the JV is essentially their Sophomore team and they have a Freshman team.. Not many D2 teams have that luxury

I don't think that's true BIB. The starting quarterback on JV last year for Lake is the starting quarterback this year on varsity.

Surprisingly Lake Forest has a Freshman team.Their JV roster is:

First Name Last Name Grade
Ezra Butler 11
Luis Davila 11
Traden Harrison 11
Codie Pant 11
Bryan Santos 11
Caleb Secrist 11
Conner Callaway 10
Kasandan Clanton 10
Miles Coates 10
Masen Crosson 10
Talif Cunningham-Young 10
Cole Dempsey 10
Antione Hannah 10
Liam Harvey 10
Konyae Kellam 10
Chase Killen 10
Christopher Richardson 10
Jose Santos Rodriguez 10
Ke'Andre Scott 10
Gavin Weatherspoon 10
Cole Wilczynski 10
Travis Wyatt 10

Of course a lot of those players are also on the Varsity team, but obviously aren't getting much playing time on Varsity.

Well yeah but he was listed on Varsity as well and yeah back up QBs if they don't get in Varsity game will QB the JV team.. Pretty common in D2

Like I said.. who ever doesn't play more than 1 quarter in the Varsity game will fill in for the JV and Freshman games.. Again Common in D2 well not common in D2 to have a Freshman schedule. Lake only has 5 Freshman games and from the looks of it they just put the scrubs out there so they can play some.. No one in DE really cares about JV or Freshman teams records.. They are just games for the kids who don't play to get some action and of course back up QB's to play

Their JV team literally has had one winning season in the past 10 years and that was 4-3. Means nothing at all. The only thong holding that program back is the head coach and his gimmicky offense.
