obviously it is way to early to judge right now. But i believe it will be
Smyrna, Mount Pleasant, Caravel, and Sanford.... THOUGHTS??????

To be fair, the coach can only do so much, which I'll admit is a cop-out considering how great Stan is, but for some reason, those Mount kids just can't get over the hump. Sure some of it is match-ups, but I just feel like the window is closing.

I still like Mount, Smyrna, Sanford and Cape. No doubt it could be Caravel also but I will go with first four. It seems that this year more than most, there is a clear Top5 and anyone else getting in would be a surprise. Having said that...there is always a sleeper.

Mount got 2 years left to win a title... This year and next.... After that.. It will be a while... Coaching goes a long way... She need fire all those ass.. Coaches and stick with 2.. Too many voices is got her confused..lol.. Just stick to 7 or 8 players and Mount be to the Bob easily...

Smyrna, Mount Pleasant, Sanford and Cape Henlopen.
Cape needs a true piont guard bad.. Cant see them making that far... Barnes is a true wing... Time will tell real quit.... Cape will be tested early... Smryna and Sanford...Dont see them beating neither team...but downstate is so weak this year... They will get a first round bye.... Not sold at all though..

I think playing upstate in the summer league will be a big help, no real ball being played down south other than that, smh

Not really been out of school a few years now, good try though. Red Lion was rolling last year until they lost players to injury. They didn't beat caravel by 20 on accident. They didn't graduate anyone and got some good additions.

@Hoopsdownstate2 Barnes a wing?? I think Barnes is playing in his correct position, even though he can play multiple positions. I know someone close to him says he plays point guard for his AAU team (Team Durant). He will play guard in college unless he grows a few more inches. Cape's lack of guard play could be an issue this year if Barnes gets in foul trouble. I thought that was an issue last year.

Sanford is my top choice. They have the state's best player in Davis and they added Na Na and Perkins along with the returning players having another year of experience under their belt. With the coach makes them my #1. Smyrna Caravel Cape to follow. Sleeper team not to be in consideration for winning it but will compete is Howard.

Sanford interests me. They obviously have the talent but it will be interesting to see how the Perkins play together. Both are most effective with the ball in their hand. But if anyone can make something work it is definitely Stan.

I disagree that he is a true piont guard.. Way better on wing... Get to the basket better and get at least 4 more rebounds a game... Instead of standing up top at piont guard position... And put less pressure on him on the wing too.. Instead of trying to get ball to Rickards and Robinson all game long .. He then can create his on shot.... Just my thoughts... Then he can really show off his talent..

They beat Caravel without one of their best players of Trevon Alderman he is one of if not the most important player on the team. Red Lion isn't making final 4 cmon now....

I think Red Lion will be in the final 8... final 4 may b a stretch... but up and coming and a good coach.

Cape has a new 6-5 kid with bounce. Jack Dennis from MD. Add to that their guards really emerged this summer and it should be interesting.
