Still laughing at St.Marks best coached team in the state. You must not go to many St. Marks' games.
 
Milford will probably score against IR or Delmar. Delmar looks to be really down this year.

The Woodbridge loss to Friends was surprising.

Henlopen South looks like a toss up and is any team really any good? I'm not sold on Laurel just yet.

Newark is 3-0 and hasn't played a complete game yet.

DI and DII are basically a 2 team race in both divisions.

DI is William penn and Sallies then everyone else

DII is caravel and Hodgson then everyone else

John Wilson and his staff do a great job at St marks not sure if they are the best but they are top 5 for sure.
 
Why is everybody so high on Sallies? Please explain. They beat a very young CR Team who has not won yet, and WP let them hang in the game by making mistakes.

I agree,,, Its Penn is defiantly 1 one but 2 is up in the air between St Marks, Sallies, Cape , Concord and maybe Newark (depending how they develop ) also I dont know what to make of Middletown yet... But yes just to throw Sallies as a clear 2 is not realistic..
 
Middletown beat concord doesn't that put them ahead of them ?

Cape has played nobody.

St marks looked bad at penn and slipped past Sussex tech

Sallies has been a factor most every year since Dinardo took over.

All these points are true but its early... The pubs dont train and prepare like the privates do off season so I give them a couple of weeks to catch up,,, Am I saying SALLIES is not #2 no but am saying its not a given..
 
IMO There is a big difference between having Top 5 talent and having a top 5 coaching staff. They always have top 5 talent and the kids bail him out. Perfect example is against ST he calls a slow developing inside counter that never should went on 4th and 1 kid had a great second effort to get the first down because it was stuffed kept the drive alive and they won the game.

I agree with why you feel this way but keep in mind they are no worse than #2 in the bogus rankings that do not count at all come playoff selections. Salesianum is just like ND and the Cowboys....people either love them or hate them because of the tradition and what they stand for. As for #2 its only because they were very fortunate to win it last year and their 1 loss is to WP (unless Concord can come back here tonight).

There is no clear #2......yet.

After 47 years of coaching, a state championship, several playoff appearances (including a big upset over Howard in '08 states), being neck and neck with Coach Simpson for most wins as a coach in DE, and a winning record versus Woodbridge the past few years (they only lost to them with a very young team last year), what is so surprising? Coach Tattersall and Friends should at the very least, they should be considered a well coached "mid major" with the potential to compete with most smallish D2 teams, no?

attended the Sals/Concord game, Concord looked good for most of the first half, but by the 4Q you could see the hands on hips from the Concord lineman and they just wore down, bunch of Sallies kids banged up and saw their starting O tackle not in uniform, and had other lineman dropping at various times, so Sals need to shore up the blocking upfront, Concord's blitz was dissruptive all night until Dinardo switched up in the second half, just wonder why he took until mid in the 3rd Q to change anything on O

I am not a football guy so I can only speculate that you have to make big adjustments when you have the time.

In the Godfather, Michael waited until Pop died before he made the adjustments to Moe Greene, Carlo Rizzi,
and the heads of other crime families on the day of the baptism. (I am not totally sure. This is the area of expertise of Johnny Velvet.)

Milford will score, I just don't know if it will be this season. Seriously, they actually moved the ball at times Friday, but they have a long way to go. This has been tough to watch, and it is turning into a test of character for them. Anyone that knows me knows that I have always believed high school sports is about developing young people for their future in society. It's ok to get knocked down, I just hope that they learn how to get back up. Go Bucs!!!
 
4 to 8 definite starters are not playing this year

Woodgreen it wast directed at you. Mastertroll 7’nonstop3 has managed to emulate big end by saying he is a dad of a DL or OL at DMA amongst other things. DE folks need to stop buying his act. He is a phony. A MD troll who found his way here and spends countless hours surfing the web to troll here. A true sicko

I live in Bear not MD although I’m from MD. But that was years ago. I sell rolled icecream in Lewis and I’m retired. I like to mix it up troll and good football . Hard to find here in DE I will admit. I like to blur the line between real and fantasy. But at the end of the day DMA is the favorite to win both D1 and D2. I see them playing both championship games back to back on the same day.

Ches, Michael waited for Pop to die before he tool out Bratzinni and the Family Heads. Pop was long gone when he took out Moe and Carlo in Godfather 2. Interesting side note, Johnny Olla was played by the same person the played Uncle Junior in The Sopranos.
