St Thomas More ran out of gas. They were the better team for a half. St George pressure just wore them down. I saw them in January and they played 8-9 guys. Tonight the starters went the whole game. Did they lose players?

Delcastle should have won in regulation and then the second OT and let it get away. They had a player (#5) who hit back to back 3s, was the leading scorer at the time and never got back in the game......??

Tossing Williams from Smyrna on a hard foul cost Smyrna any chance they had. After he left, Mount had their way on the boards.

Tackling from behind, then grabbing him in a headlock is a bit more than a "hard" foul. Lucky they didn't lose the other kid for throwing that punch at 00.

what? tackling? headlock? punch? i was sitting in perfect view and missed all 3 of those. Some of you are so sensitive to things you expand actions in your mind smh. and no I'm not a smyrna fan

Here are my thoughts.

Future looks bright. Saw some pretty good young players Mounts Freshman Cramer, Sanford's 8th grader Davis and the STTM team.
Sanford and Mount are the class of the state this year. Should be playing in the finals not semis.
Mikey Dixon best player by a lot.
Lisa Sullivan is a very good coach and probably deserves COY this year.
William Penn should have run Walsh at the point yesterday.
After watching St Marks I mean Delcastle it is time for a shot clock.

I saw St Thomas More play earlier this year and they had two players were't playing for them yesterday or all tournament for that matter. Zion Cole and Kobe Morris. I wonder what happened to them If those two were there yesterday, they would have finished out that game. They are a good young program on the rise.

Sanford takes every team out of their comfort zone and they feast off of turnovers. Sanford vs Mt. Pleasant should be the championship. I see either team that wins that game coasting in the chip.

Watch the video that's posted. 20:30 - 20:39. #21 could have been ejected too for shoving #00.
Kramer grabbed from behind, gets his head locked, then looked like a punch from my side by #21, smh...

I was sitting very close to where the play happened and he definitely threw a punch/elbow or whatever you want to call it after the foul when they got tangled up on the baseline. Never saw any headlock though. Anyway, I've seen kids ejected for less and I've seen them stay in the game after worse offenses. Personally, I don't have a problem with the decision. Sucks that it was on this stage, and I walked back to the staging area not long after and the Smyrna kid was obviously upset and no doubt sorry for what he did. But things like that happen sometimes. All you can do is learn from them.

As far as the shoving, that happens a lot. If it's a one-time thing, I don't think a kid should be ejected for something like that. Glad the refs didn't either.

I said in a separate thread that I couldn't see what happened after the foul. I was all the way on the other end and down low. I saw a two handed hard foul. Nothing after that. So I stand corrected if all that went on. I will say the refs took a long time deciding on what to do. That tells me they got it right.

So If Vegas were putting out a line on the semifinals what would it be?

My guess:

Sanford -2
St. Georges -1

Kind of agree with fanofthegame51 that i don't see a tackle or a headlock or a punch when I watch the video. I do see a really dumb play by a Smyrna kid who lost his cool for a second. He ran into the MP kid with his forearm out. I think it warranted a tech for a flagrant foul but not an ejection.
