Top 10 ?

Th

They sleeping on St. Moore... They ranked way to low.. They most likely win out.. To me they 2 or 3..
That's most likely from not playing any good delaware teams which sucks because we don't get to see what they really got until the playoffs

Those doing the rankings may not be aware but teams that played them last year & in the summer leagues are aware. They upset Dover in the 2nd round last year & led St. George's by double digits in the second half of the quarterfinals @ the Bob.

It does suck that we don't get to see them vs good DE teams during the regular season...the best DE team that they'll face before playoffs is Milford next Tuesday @ STMA @ 6:00 PM. Milford did beat Cape early in the season.

I'll never forget that Dover St.Thomas More playoff game. Those boys can ball. I like how the coach runs that team.

4 of the starters from that team returned w/ the exception of Scott & they added Montanez who is their leading scorer so they are even better this year in my opinion w/ all that experience.

Believe me I completely agree. I wouldn't want to see this team come playoff time. Very dangerous team, Scott was a beast wish the best for the young man. Can only imagine how good this team could be if you put in the mix.

I liked STM going into last years tournament. They are well coached and have talent.

Two differences going into this year.

They are not the same team without Scott. He was big part of that team, rebounding, defense and scoring. Montenez is a good player but he doesn't replace Scott's presence.

Second, they aren't going to sneak up on anybody this year. No one is going to take them lightly.

They might go deep in the tournament. They could also get knocked out early. A lot of parity.

I don't see them getting knocked out earlier. Why do you see them getting knocked out early? You can't replace Scott. Montenez can play, he's the leading scorer on that team. You'd be surprised they might sneak up on people still. Especially with everything I see on here some people don't think they belong in top 10-15 which is insane btw.

Lost him... They be done just like Sallies loosing Ingram

They have other players so I wouldn't put them in Sallies category...still a good team but definitely not a championship favorite like I had them before.

why don't these kids ask for help in class if they need it smh is it pride or what ?? two seniors failing off who play crucial roles on their team and a sophomore who plays a big role on his team WOW

Coaching is a part of it too..

I agree although many coaches don't think its in their job description.. If I were a coach today I would be monitoring my kids grades and and if one was struggling I would get them help.. Unfortunately some just dont or maybe they do and the kids and parents just think it will be taken care of because they can ball like its 1984..

Agreed coaches should play a bigger role with these kids. Not sure how you can be a coach and not know that some of your better players aren't doing well in school. Coaches need to be more involved for sure.

While we are on the subject whatever happened to the St Georges player that was real good and led his team to the finals vs Sals a few years back?.. He failed off the team the next year and left the school to some PA Basketball Academy and finished the season there where is he now?

Kineph turner has failed off Newark

It's makes no sense to post that a young man has failed off a team and grades haven't been submitted, as of yet. We need more advocates to help these young boys become men by teaching them to become better students and make good sound decisions. Be part of the solution, not adding to the problem.

Comes down to this.. If its true.. 75% the problem is the coach ... I understand he has no control of players who gets in trouble outside of school... But when a player fails off team for grades.. Thats coaching.. He not doing his job.. He not checking in on his players to make sure they on right track .. Its more to coaching than Xs and Os....

75% is the coach? Embarrassing! How about first hold the young adult accountable and the parents who are supposed to be monitoring their kids grades. I'd say 25% coach but even that is harsh. Coaches shouldn't have to babysit every kids grades. It all comes down to if the kid is not going to do the work or study then that's on him. Coach cannot take the test or turn in their homework. Let's have a little accountability here. 75% is outrageous but that is the time we live in now I guess. Always someone else's fault.

So, true. Coaches can do everything to keep the student/athlete straight in the school by offering study halls and having tutors available but it comes down to the student/athlete and parents.

You posted this nonsense yesterday morning at 6:26 am. I just called the school and the school secretary said grades were due this morning. Like I said be a advocate, don't be part of the problem.

At some school true, grades were due today. Other school have already handed out report cards, example Salesianum.
