Saw most of the spring game today. Many local guys will be prominent players this year. Darius Wade was the #1 QB all day with Pat Kehoe as #2 and PJ Caruso #3. Looked like Nolan Henderson was #4. They started both the 1st and 2nd half with 7 on 7 passing. 18 plays each half with QB’s rotating. Henderson’s first play was a pick six taken to the house by Troy Reeder. He settled down and completed his other 2 passes - one for a first down. Watching the QB’s warm up before each half, Henderson threw the most consistent tight spirals. Hope he can get some playing time. Needs to gain weight and muscle though!

I see a really good year coming up for the Hens! Returns pretty much every starter from last year except the D-line which they have reloaded. Expecting a big year for Kane as well, with the addition of Wade the pass game will improve which will open up the run game even more. Defense will be dominate again. I just love the fact that UDs core are all DE natives: Reeders(LBs), Wade(QB), Kane(RB, Jarmon(WR), Jones(LB) are all starters who play key roles! There are a few more from DE who will also be starting for the Hens as well!

Who would win (at a neutral field)- Wesley college or UD?

I think they would have a punchers chance. After all Drass is one of the best football minds Dover has ever seen and is by far the best recruiter of talent hotspots like Leipsic and Marydel. I think Wesley would surprise some people

Agreed about Drass but they would get crashed up front....wouldn’t be close especially not this year as I think UD will be competing for the national chip this year as long as everyone stay healthy...you heard it hear first

This whole Wesley thing is ridiculous. UD would crush them in every aspect. Wesley athletes are Division 3 for a reason. Now, Del State might be another matter.

Your statement is ignorant and makes you look foolish. D3 talent?

Have you ever heard of Larry Beavers? Jon Lanouette? Steve Scanlon? Shit, even Dave Erdman. All NFL talents.

I’m not saying Wesley doesn’t have athletes because they do, some which could play D-1 ball but as a whole they couldn’t compete with UD, maybe DSU

Some people get individuals confused with team. Yeah, SOME D3 individuals can compete at a higher level but it stops there. Say UD does schedule Wesley. A lot of hype pre game etc. Remember, there are 63 full scholies at UD vs none at Wesley (they have some thing called "equivalencies" at that level. You come out and wow , you're in the game at the end of the first quarter. As the game goes on the physical toll begins to mount. The bigger school begins to substitute with second and third stringers who as a group are better than your starters. By the fourth quarter, the small school is on fumes as the other side puts in ,more fresh faces. This is exactly what happened to UD at West Virginia last fall. Bigger, stronger, faster.

Wesley gets better as the game goes on though...

You are Wesley academic material. They admit the Walking Dead.

Wesley has some of the best professors on the east coast. I know some classmates from high school that were barely getting C’s in applied high school courses and had a 4.0 at wesley. That’s the power of teaching

@Pic..
stop while your ahead!
just saying

I’ve been thinking more about it and Wesley must be a great educational school because the graduation rates are so poor. Like incredibly remarkably poor. Which means the courses must be like Harvard level, or above Harvard level, difficult.

Finally, something you and I can agree on.
