It's not really that weak. With Joey Nat and Jaxson Al-C in line-up, the team is as strong as most recent teams. There are some names that folks may not recognize, and the team may be weaker in some spots, but that has always been the case that two or three guys are not as strong as the main guys. I don't know who had choice, but it would have been good for Smyrna to put a JV guy out at 170 to take the forfeit, and bump McAlpine, Davis, and Wilson up. Smyrna probably had to present wrestler first at 170 though. I give props to Caravel coaches and kids. As I stated in another post, they are really a strong team. I wasn't back in time to catch the match, but I heard there were some sportsmanship issues with a few Caravel kids. I really hope Coach Welch can get that quickly in check. It would be a shame if their strong, break out season gets marred by repeated issues.

They miraculously treated the first round of the RR as a single event and let him wrestle in round 2 where he was DQed again for a slam. You are certainly a beacon of justice and fairness down in smyrna lol
