Caravel v. Smyrna Match

Bloody Hell, and now injecting politics into the mix. And the gifts just keep on coming...
Fake news!
I see myself more as the unjustly imprisoned Andy in that flick. But ill grade that as a humouros though slightly negative post. That may be a new catagorey. Don't forget to post the Rubric. Hahahha

really? if that was the case why did one smyrna wrestler that was held back not wrestle his 3rd year in middle school (only 2 years of eligibility for middle school varsity wrestling since smyrna only has 7th and 8th). also was told that one wrestler who attended sanford moved out of state because he started wrestling in 8th grade on varsity and was told he could not wrestle his final year in Delaware since you are only eligible to wrestle 4 years in high school for varsity.
Didn't Ferrazzo wrestle more than four years on varsity at Caravel? I think that if the middle school and high school are consider as one, the kid can wrestle on varsity in 8th grade and four more years.

That's correct. Delmar , SAS and caravel are 3 that come to mind that qualify for that.

All kidding and jabs aside, jerky comments are like art or pornography...Hard to define, but easy to recognize. You were given a wide latitude on several issues until you ran them needlessly into the ground. Everyone is clear on your opinions. Can we please move forward?

If you wrestle for a school that has middle and HS under same roof you can wrestle HS as an 8th grader. You have 4 years of eligibility when you start 9th grade so if you fail or are held back in HS (9-12)you still only have 4 years. There was more to the transfer that you speak of but I won't pretend to remember what it was since it was a few years back now. But yes without a doubt, you can wrestle 5 years HS varsity if you wrestle as an 8th grader.

Sometimes people forget they are talking about children. I'd prefer a forum where you use FB logins so that we know the names behind the insults. Even as an Admin here, I usually knew who they were and sometimes you'd be shocked to know.

That's why I generally make it clear who I am. It keeps me from saying anything that I wouldn't want associated with my name or that of my boys. Even the sideways things I say (usually AGAINST Smyrna) are things that I am willing to own!

Ill call a truce on defending a certain kid on here, with the understanding I will reserve the right in case of future unforeseen events.....
I appreciate your sanity
Thanks

Same here. Although it's also gotten me in trouble with some people. Other times people have a sense of humor, like the time Frank F asked if I still thought his kid was too small at 106. We laughed and that was that! I try to talk as I would if the person and I were face to face.

Not me. I speak for the voiceless and downtrodden and defend points of view whether I 100 percent agree with them or not. I argue and insult posters as needed. I point out fallacies and double standards. Im happy to comment and go along to get along. Do predictions and report results. I'm also fine to battle if needed. The world needs all kinds....

To add to this the student can't turn 19 on or before June 15th. So you can only play the hold back game if you have the right birthday Which may have been the issue with some of the kids mentioned. They can go to one of the Inter-AC schools in PA and wrestle though.. I believe.. They also could go to one of our SPL teams and wrestle/play as a 19 year old but would not be allowed to wrestle/play vs any DIAA team not in the SPL
