The Royals and Rams traded big innings late in the ball game with the Royals prevailing 15-11. Johnson and Surbanes collected multiple hits for the Rams while Schlabach, Hesson, Briggs, DiFava, and Culver each had multiple hits for the Royals.

Newark Charter offense had 12 hits led by Brett Callahan (2b,3b) and Gavin Winegar with 2 each.Nic Dalton,Will Dubecq and Riley Williams had 2 rbi's. Brett Lesher got the W with 5k's over 3 innings and Dylan Kutch pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief as they defeated First State Military 15-1.

Anthony Gaston and Christopher Shea had the hits for FSMA.

The Auks opened up the season with a 14-0 win. Jake Fallers was 3-3 driving in 4 with a double and a triple. Anthony Mallamaci scored 4 runs and Tom Alexander scored 3 runs. Mike Dellose added a homer in the 4th inning. Jack Nielsen got the win, going 4 innings allowing 2 hits and striking out 7. Dan Smith, Garrett Weldon and Gabriel Spruill had hits for FSMA.

3-25-19 Games

Delmar jumped out to an early lead and road HR's from Ryan Nelson and Gabe Rincon to pick up the opening 10-4 win over Caesar Rodney.

Austin biddle scattered two hits on the mound for polytech striking out seven in six innings as they defeated the Indians of Indian River 3-2. Dylan gros earned the save. Grant Argo homered for Indian River. Chase Rebuck was 2-3 for polytech.

3-26-19 Games

Joe Orsini pitched 6 strong innings allowing 3 hits while striking out 6 to lead A.i. duPont over St E's 8-5 in their opening game. Chris Thuys went 3 for 3 at the plate and drove in 4 for the Tigers. Jaden Dickerson had 2 hits for St. E's.

Nate Hardcastle hit a triple to drive in the first run. Craig McAllister was 4-4 with 3 RBI and Derek Pusey was 3-4 to lead Red Lion's Offense as they defeated Delcastle 17-0. BJ Cummins Jake Stewart and Josh Jones collected hits for Delcastle

Mickey Williams and Ethan Lattomus combined on a one hitter striking out 8 to pace St.Marks to a 12-0 win over Newark. Matt Phillips, Eric Ludman, JJ Pseniscka, and Nick Pischorchik each had 2 hits for the Spartans. The Spartans ended the game of a triple play. Jacob Lafferty had the hit for Newark.

Wm. Penn erased a 6-2 defecit in the bottom of the 5th inning then took the lead 9-6 in the bottom of the 6th. Colonials were led by Kevin Burg with a double two walks and two runs scored. CJ Wilkerson (1-0) picked up the win in relief.

Tristan Pantano threw three scoreless and hitless innings for the Friends 13-0 win. Sam Gise, Wyatt Nelson, and Patrick McKenzie contributed two RBI apiece. CJ Ashe tallied the Tatnall run with an RBU double.
 
3-27-19 Baseball Wrap

Salesianum starting pitcher, Reece Bolton picked up the win pitching 5 scoreless innings with 10 K's, allowing only 2 hits. Alex Hinton earned the save, allowing only 1 hit in two scoreless innings. Joseph Sheets had the game winning RBI with a single to RF scoring Matt Querey from second. Matt was running for Joseph Setting who had started the inning with a single. Dylan Rees led off the the bottom of the 6th inning for Salesianum with a triple and the next batter, Dominic Ragazzo, sent a sacrifice fly to CF, scoring Rees for an insurance run. Mason Fluharty pitched 5 strong innings for Cape allowing only 1 run. Ryan Gibbons, Timothy Vitella and Mason Fluharty all had base hits.
 
3-28-19: Baseball Wraps

Gabriel Brandt went three for four at the plate also scoring two runs. Aidan Lambert had three RBI's and Gavin Lambert added a double and scored three runs to pace Brandywine to a 4-0 win over AI DuPont.

Kyle Walker drove in 5 runs including a grand slam and Tyler Reinert recorded the win pitching a strong four and two- thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five to pace the Red Wolves of Conrad to a 9-2 win over the Force of Charter.

Michael Deery efforts offensively and defensively lead the Silver Eagles to their first victory a 14-4 win over Delcastle. Deery went 6.1 innings picking up 6 strikeouts on 5 hits, 3 walks and 3 earned runs. He added 3 hits including a HR and 3 runs batted in to his day. Justin Raab went 3-4 with an RBI. Joshua Jones and John Ryan had a multi hit game for Delcastle.

Quakers winning pitcher Joey Mullen 1-0 surrendered just three hits and struck out five batters for his first win of the season as Friends defeated Sanford 10-0. Liam Hudgings came on in relief and struck out the side in the 6th. Peter Erskine and Will Davis each tallied two hits for the Quakers who, as a team, spread the RBI across nine different players. Nolte, Bracey, and Smallwood each had hits for Sanford.

Alvin Garcia Drives In Four As Glasgow Defeats McKean

Alvin Garcia wasted no opportunities at the plate on Thursday, driving in four on two hits to lead the Dragons past McKean 15-4 on Thursday.

Glasgow scored on a single by Chris Ortega and a single by Dante Claudio in the first inning.

The Dragons scored six runs in the second inning. Dominic Joseph, Garcia, and D. Claudio each had RBIs in the frame.

Noah Gonzalez 1-0 earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Glasgow. He surrendered four runs on one hit over three innings, striking out five. D. Claudio threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen, recording the last six outs to earn the save for the Dragons.

Steven Drozdowski took the loss for McKean. He surrendered 12 runs on nine hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Glasgow racked up ten hits. Garcia, Joseph, and D. Claudio all collected multiple hits for the Dragons, including a home run by Joseph. The Claudio brothers, Andre and Dante, tore up the base paths, collecting five stolen bases between them. Glasgow collected 10 stolen bases in total.

McKean didn't commit a single error in the field. DeVon Taylor had the most chances in the field with four. McKean stole six bases during the game, with Luigyi Infante-Ogando leading the way with two.

The Indian River Indians came back from an 8-2 deficit in the 5th inning to win 10-9. The Indians were led by Kyle Firle 2-4 and Grant Argo 1-1 with 4 walks. Dover’s Turner, Jacobs and Carrington each rallied two hits.

St. Andrew's combined 11 hits, 7 stolen bases, and five Tatnall errors to score 13 runs. Jackson Conkey had a double for the Hornets.

Freshman Andrew Rigby earned the win in relief for CR as they defeated Laurel 8-6. Brandon Hatch and Mason Brewer collected multiple hits for the Riders. Preston Hitchens struck out 5 for the Bulldogs.

Matt Phillips, Eric Ludman and JJ Pseniscka all had 2 hits for the Spartans as they defeated St. Elizabeth 20-5. Hayden Trimarco contributed 2 hits for the Vikings.

For the Hawks offensively: Troy Atkins had three hits and scored two runs, Joey Rinarelli had two hits and two RBIs. Aidan Riley, Joey Jourdan, and Nate McVey all homered for the Hawks as they defeated the Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant 14-4.

Mason Keene 1-0 struck out 6 through 3 innings to earn the 16-0 win. Keene and Aidan Deakins combined to throw a no hitter for Appo. Krew Bouldin led the Appo offense with 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and 5 RBI's. Lorenzo Carrier added 2 hits, 3 runs scored, and 3 RBI's. Keene also had 3 runs scored for the Jaguars.

Tyler Jenkins and Daniel Smith combined for 12 strikeouts while limiting Sussex Academy to 3 hits in a hard fought 3-0 victory for First State Military.
FSMA offense was led by Jenkins, Chris Connelly, and Anthony Gaston each swatting two hits a piece. Christopher Shea had the other hit for FSMA. Dylan Mooney, Wes McLaughlin, and Jack Donahue singled for Sussex Academy.

Winning pitcher Trey Matthews at 1-0 pitched 4 strong innings w 9k's and Brett Callahan pitched 3 innings w 4k's to combine for a 2-hitter as Newark Charter won 5-2. Newark Charter took the lead in the 4th with Brett Lesher's two run triple and scored on Nic dalton's single. Brett Callahan was 3-4, Will Dubecq 2-3 and Dalton 2-4.

Bryce Sterling and Austin Prior had a hit for Red Lion.

Zach McCloskey lead the way with 2 hits and 2 RBI's for the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy as they defeated the Cavaliers of Middletown by a 4-3 score. AJ Blanchard had a clutch RBI double in the 6th inning. MTH- Mitchell Jolikko and Blake Harbert had 2 hits apiece for the Cavaliers.
 
3-29-19 Baseball Luke Johnson pitched a 4 hit shutout striking out 6. Ryan Gibbons was 2 for 3 and Tim Vitella doubled to pace Cape Henlopen to a 1-0 win over the Spartans of Lake Forest. For Lake Forest, Seth Parker had two hits while Cameron Beulah and Zac Cole both pitched well in the loss.

Brock Hilligoss earned the win in relief in a back and forth game as Milford defeated Woodbridge 7-4. Chad Reichhold singled home 2 runs to break a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning. Tyler Yoder had 2 rbi singles to lead the Woodbridge offense.
 
3-30-19 Baseball Results

Archmere's Mike Dellose broke open a 4-3 game in the bottom of the 6th with a 2-run triple and won 6-3. Tom Alexander drove in 2 runs with 2 hits. Anthony Mallamaci scored 3 times. Danny Storm collected the win going 4+ innings allowing 2 earned runs with 6 K's. Christian Strickland and Andrew Spychalski each collected 2 hits a piece for the Vikings.

Nate Hardcastle picked up the win while also going 3-4 at the plate with 2 doubles. Bryce Sterling was also 3-4 with a double and Craig McAllister hit a home run to lead Red Lion's 16 hit attack as they defeated Brandywine 17-1. Patrick Campbell singled and scored a run for Brandywine.

Christian Colmery picked up the win pitching four scoreless innings striking out 6 batters as St. Marks defeated Seaford 24-0. Eric ludman was 3 for 3 and scored 2 runs. Nick Muzzi contributed 2 hits for the Spartans. Zakery Jackson had a single for the Blue Jays.

Tower Hills' Jason Roux and Kenyon Motley had three hits each to lead a 13 hit effort against St. Andrews as they won 14-2. Chad lopes picked up the win, giving up one hit with 2 strikeouts. Ben Horgan doubled and scored a run for the Saints.

Newak Charter starting pitcher David Hawtof got his first win on the mound going 4 innings allowing only 1 run. Newark Charter's Dylan Kutch was 2-3 w a run scored and John Ueltzhoffer had a big 2 rbi hit to score two runs while Nic Dalton scored two runs on the day as they defeated Caesar Rodney 6-5.

CR's Brandon Hatch hit a 3run homer in the bottom of the 7th to close the game to within 1 run.
 
4-1-19

The Woodbridge Raiders defeated Delmarva Christian in a non-conference game 5-2. Derek Cannon took the win for the Woodbridge Raiders. He surrendered two runs on three hits over 5 2/3 innings, striking out five and walking one. Seth Smart threw 1 1/3 innings in relief to earn the save. Cannon went 2-for-3 at the plate, driving in a pair of runs. Riley Culver led Delmarva Christian with two hits in four at bats.

Jack Ford and Aaron Rhodes combined for the 3-hit win for the Wildcats as they defeated Salisbury Christian 13-0.
 
4-2-19

Baseball

The A.I. duPont Tigers defeated Newark 11-1 in six innings in a non-conference tilt. Joe Orsini allowed 3 hits and struck out 6 in going the distance for the Tigers. Domini Tew had 2 hits for A.I. and Logan Evans drove in 3 RBI to lead the offense. Wayne Smith had an RBI double for the Yellow Jackets.

Ryan Baker had 2 hits and 3 RBIs to lead the Charter offense. Alex Zhu, Manny Covington and Sam Devard each scored 3 runs for the Force as they defeated the Warriors of Sanford 19-6. Isiah Bracey and Henry Nolte had 2 hits for Sanford.

Brian Downey's two hits and three RBI's led the Concord Raiders over Wilmington Friends 8-6. Downey also picked up his second win of the season on the mound. Luke Gabrysh came on the final three innings to secure his second save of the year. Adam Tommer and Will Rhodunda both added a hit and two runs scored for the Raiders. Wilmington Friends was led by Matt Taormina's double and two RBI's. Ed Micheletti added a hit and run scored for Friends.

Tyler Reinert, Jeremy Coleman and Kyle Walker combined for a Conrad 7-1 win, Reinert started went three and two thirds allowing five hits, one run and three strike outs. Walker and Coleman both entered the game from the bullpen to help secure a victory. Walker lead Conrad with 3 hits. Andre Claudio took the loss for Glasgow going five and a third innings allowing three runs on six hits and striking out five.

The Indians trailed 3-1 in the fourth inning and were able to plate three in the bottom half of the inning. In a back and forth affair Smyrna battled back scoring 2 runs in the top of the 6th to take the lead 7-6. IR's Kyle Firle singled home a pair to win it in the bottom of the 6th. Foxwell and Firle both had two hits for the Indians while Bell had two the Eagles.

Austin Biddle picked up the 5-2 win on the mound over Lake Forest striking out 6. Biddle also collected 3 hits on the day. Chase Rebuck had two rbis for Polytech. For the Spartans, Nathan McGray had two hits including a triple.

Caden Stanley scored the winning run in the bottom of the 8th as Aydin Zimmerman was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to give the Buccaneers the 7-6 win. Zimmerman had a hit and 3 rbi. Dylan Layton and Chad Reichhold each had 2 hits for Milford. Cape strung together 7 singles in the top of the 5th inning to take a 5-3 lead. Luke Johnson and Ryan Gibbions each had 2 rbi. Tim Vitella and Johnson each had 2 hits.

Ricky Gannett broken open a close game with 2 RBI double in the fourth inning to pace to a St. Marks 5-2 win over Archmere. Matt Phillips pitched 5 innings of shutout ball. Eric Ludman contributed 2 hits for the Spartans. Mike Dellose reached base 3 times for the Auks.

: Craig McAllister accounted for 9 runs, scoring 5 and driving in 4 with a double and a HR. Bryce Sterling, Xander Emberger and Sam Hardcastle had multi-hit games for Red Lion as they defeated St. Andrews 20-1. Ben Horgan drove in Caden Wood to score for St. Andrews.

Winning pitcher Brandon Hatch and Joe Carpenter combined for 10 strikeouts on the mound for CR as they defeated Seaford 9-1. Ryan Rigby had 2 hits including a double with 4 RBI on the day to lead the Rider offense. Isiaih Lake had a triple for the Bluejays.

Craig Small's base hit in the bottom of the seventh inning scored Robert Falcone for the game winning run to pace St. Elizabeth to a 7-6 win over Mt. Pleasant. Falcone and Andrew Spychalski both singled in the seventh for St. Elizabeth. Small and Spychalski had two hits each for St. Elizabeth. Savion Brown, Nick Harkins, Justin Jump, and Garrett Hillsgrove had two hits each for Mt. Pleasant.

Matt Rodriguez hit a grand slam and combined with Caden Parker for the mound victory; Dylan Rodriguez homered twice in the Delmar 11-4 win.

Middletown's David Keane pitched 5.2 strong innings giving up 1 earned run and striking out 5 to pick up the 6-1 conference win over St. George's. Jake Elmer was 2-4 for the Cavs with 2 RBI.

Delcastle's John Ryan pitched 5 strong innings to lead the Cougars to their first win of the season a 7-6 victory over Sussex Tech. BJ Cummins led Delcastle offensively with 3 hits. Dylan Mooney and Ryan Bishop paced Sussex Academy at the plate. Delcastle's James Wade struck out the side in the 7th, wiggling out of a bases-loaded jam, to earn his first save.

Tower Hills' Mike Gilbert stole home in the bottom of the seventh to steal the 7-6 victory for Tower Hill. Kenyon Motley had three hits and two RBI's and Sander Margolin added two hits for the Hillers. Brandywine's Gavin Lambert pitched six strong innings with 4 strikeouts. Mike Pagliei had two hits for the Bulldogs.

Joey Davis threw 5 and 2/3 innings of shutout baseball, he allowed 3 hits while striking out 10 Patriot hitters. Lorenzo Carrier had 2 hits including a double, and 2 RBI's. Conover and J. Davis each had 1 hit for Appo as they defeated Newark Charter 8-0. Callahan, Lesher, Winegar, and Ueltzhoffer all had 1 hit for Newark Charter.
 
4-3-19 Baseball

Ben Conkey 1-1 notched his first career win on the mound while smacking 3 hits, scoring 3 runs, and driving in another 3 runs. Geovani Zavala shut the door on the win for the Rams with 6 strikeouts in 2 innings of work to pace Dickinson to a 26-12 win over Wilmington Christian. Nick Williamson and Matt Crum both scored 4 runs a piece for the Rams. #8 for scored 3 runs and knocked in another 3 runs for the Warriors of Wilmington Christian.

For Malvern Newell and Andress had two hits and two RBIs while Offsach added two hits and a run scored as they defeat the Hawks of St. Georges 9-6. The Hawks battled for seven innings; Aidan Riley and Joey Jourdan contributed two hits and six different Hawks drove in a run.

Danny Storm induced a bases loaded fly ball to get the final out in Archmere's 3-2 win over DMA. Jack Nielsen earned the win going 5 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits and one run while striking out 9. Nielsen also drove in 2 runs. DMA's Jon Hines struck out 7 with one walk over 5 1/3 innings. Archmere's Mike Dellose, Tom Alexander, Anthony and Michael Mallamaci each had 2 hits to lead the Auk offense. Kevin Williams had 2 hits and scored a run for DMA.
 
Baseball 4-5-19:

Mason Fluharty opened things up for the Vikings in the first inning with a 2 run home run with 2 outs. Grant Evans was 2 for 2 with a double and triple and 4 RBI's. Luke Smailer added a pair of hits including a double and a walk. Luke Johnson picked up his second win of the season going 5 strong innings for the Vikings as they defeated Smyrna 13-3. Conner Strauss had a double and a run scored and Layne Bell had a pair of RBI's to lead the Eagles.

Appo was able to get ahead early on an RBI by Lorenzo Carrier. Mason Keene threw 5 innings scattering 5 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 5 St. Marks Batters as the Jags won 5-2. Joey Davis collected 2 hits for Appo. Keene, Carrier, Bouldin, Coleman, and Keegan Miller all had 1 hit. Miller had a 2 RBI single in the 4th inning. Colmery, Pisorchik, and Phillips all had doubles for St. Marks. Psenicska had 2 hits.

Thomas Maddams singled home Hayden Trimarco for the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning for St. Elizabeth as they defeated Hodgson 3-2. Gregory Hamrick had two hits including a triple for Hodgson Vo-Tech. Maddams and Trimarco had two hits each for St. Elizabeth.

Sussex Tech defeated Woodbridge Raiders 12-0. Sussex Tech stareted early scoring on an error, a double by Ethan Ward, a single by Jordan Harper, and a triple by Jalen Snead in the first inning. Tyler Heder pitched Sussex Tech to victory. He allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three. Noah Covington and Cody Dimes entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Keeler, Balascio, and Cannon each collected one hit for the Raiders.

Dom Velazquez paced the senators striking out 14 and giving up one hit.Michael Carrington was 3-4 for the senators as they defeated Polytech 5-0.

Jack Valentine pitched 4.2 innings, striking out 10 in the Sanford 11-1 victory over Tatnall. Henry Nolte had 3 hits and 2 RBI for Sanford. Dylan Smallwood had 3 RBI. Wall, Bracey, and Smallwood each had multi-hit games for Sanford. Brody Clayton had two hits for Tatnall, including a double.

Alex Lindstrom led the Caravel offense with 3 hits including a homerun, double and 3 rbi. Ethan DeRegis added 3 doubles, 3 rbi, and 3 runs scored. David Preziuso also had 2 hits and Cole Reynolds knocked in 4 rbi.'s for Caravel as they defeated Middletown 10-5.

Middletown's Mitchell Jolokko had 3 hits with 2 home runs and 3 rbi. Connor Wooten and Bennett Falletta also had 2 hits a piece.

Joey Mullen (2-0) pitched 3 innings for Friends and Wyatt Nelson four in relief and defeated Tower Hill 12-6. Jack Taylor and Wyatt Nelson each had multiple hits for the Quakers. Eddie Micheletti hit a double with three RBI and Nelson a triple with 2 RBI. For Tower Hill, Dak. Crowley went 2-4 incuding a three-run home run. Six Hillers tallied hits in the contest.

The Colonials offense got started in the first scoring two runs on CJ Wilkerson's first home run of the season. Brian North reached base 6 times on the day with four hits and two walks while Zach Pritchard added 3 hits as they defeated the Glasgow Dragons 6-3.
Wilkerson (2-1) picked up his second win of the season for the Colonials.
Dante Claudio and Jose Mendoza added two hits a piece for the Dragons.

Chad Reichold got the win on the mound striking out 6 for Milford as they defeated Lake Forest 10-2. Reichold also had a solo home run and a 2 run double. Shawn Saxon contribute 2 hits and 2 rbi for the Buccaneers. For the Spartans, Tyler Noell doubled.

Anthony Umeroglu entered the game in the first inning with the bases loaded and 1 out and was able to give up only 1 run to pace the Tigers of AI DuPont to a 13-3 victory over Delcastle. Umeroglu went the the rest of the way yielding only 3 hits and pitching shutout baseball to give A.I. the win. Domninic Pasqualla and Jared Witte paced the offense with 5 rbi between them. Daniel Maldonado had 2 hits for Delcastle.

Laurel Bulldogs had 11 players reach base in an offensive performance led by Dalton Perdue with 2 doubles, a triple, and 3 RBI's. Trace Hitchens threw the complete 5 inning, one hitter to complete the 11-0 Laurel shutout over Sussex Academy. Greg Ewing singled to right field for the Seahawks.

DMA- Pat Crawford picked up his first varsity win a 14-1 win over Newark. Michael Fedorkowicz hit two home runs and had four RBI's for the Seahawks. Kevin Williams also had three hits. NHS- Tyler Bedford had a double for the Yellowjackets.

Salesianum starting pitcher Reece Bolton, pitched 5 innings allowing only 1 run as they defeated Conrad 3-2. Alex Hinton picked up the save pitching two innings also allowing only 1 run. Conrad starting pitcher, John O'Connor, started strong facing only 12 batters in 4 innings and allowing no hits. Tyler Reinert had a double with a man on base and no outs in the bottom of the 4th, but Bolton shut the offense down after that with three consecutive strike outs.

4-6-19 Luke Johnson hit his 2nd homerun of the day in the bottom of the 8th inning to give the Vikings the 4-3 win in walk-off fashion. For Charter, Alex Zhu went 3-3 with a double and both Many Esposito and Sam Lefton had multi-hit games. Sam Devard drove in two with a double.

Indian River jumped out to an early lead 2-0 on a single in the first by Chase Hall. St. Marks scored 4 in the third on hits by Gannett and Ludman. In the bottom of the fourth Grant Argo tied the game back up with a two-run double. Matt Phillips homered to take the lead in the top of the 6th for St, Marks and picked up the 6-5 win in relief.

Dylan Layton pitched into the 6th inning striking out 6 to earn the Milford 8-5 victory. Layton also had 2 hits. Mason Morris had 3 hits and 3 rbi and Aydin Zimmerman had 2 hits and a rbi to pace the Milford offense. Shawn Haut, Greg Hamrick, and Xavier Jones each had 2 hits for Hodgson. Jones added 2 rbi.

:Newark Charter's Trey Matthews pitched 6.2 innings of shutout ball allowing only 3 hits and striking out 10. Brett Callahan was 2-3 w 2 rbi's and an inside the park HR, John Ueltzhoffer was 2-4 and Wil Dubecq was 2-3 while Dylan Kutch had 2 rbi's to pace the Newark Charter Patriots to a 7-0 win over Salesianum.
Jake Dunion had 2 hits for Sallies.

Brandon Schlabach took the win for the Delmarva Christian Royals as they defeated the Warriors of Wilmington Christian 20-7. He lasted three innings, striking out six. Andrew Workman, Michael Briggs, and Hunter DiFava all collected multiple hits for the Royals. Jacob Arnoldy led Wilmington Christian with two hits and Matthew Chaffin drilled a 2 run homer in a six run 5th inning.

Alex Zhu, Dylan Craig and Peter Taylor had multiple hits. Sam Devard hit a 2-run homerun in the 1st inning. Daniel Song 1-1 gets the win for had 4 strikeouts over 4 innings on the mound for CSW. Jacob Lee was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs to lead MOT's offense.

Mike Dellose's 3rd inning grand slam paced the Auk offense. He added an RBI single in the 5th inning as well. Anthony Mallamaci had 3 hits and scored 3 runs. Brady Dalton was 1-2 with an RBI Double and 2 runs scored to pace the Auks to a 13-3 win over the Red Wolves of Conrad. Kyle Walker and Michael Spadea both drove in runs for Conrad.

Parker Brown threw 5 solid innings allowing just 1 unearned run as Cape defeated Central 11-1. The Vikings offense exploded in the 5th inning when Luke Johnson hit a 3 run homerun. Two batters later Jackson Ostroski hit a 2-run homerun. Ryan Gibbons and Mason Fluharty each added a pair of hits, Gibbons having 2 doubles and 2 rbi's. Ethaniel Watkinson was 1 for 1 with an rbi for Sussex Central.

Calvin Donohue won his first game of the season tossing a five inning no hit game against the Dickinson Rams and the Bulldogs won 17-0 striking out five and walking one. He added two triples and a double collecting three RBI's. at the plate. Aidan Lambert had a three hit game, also Justin Ford had three RBI's and two hits.

Kevin Keister 2-1 on the season pitched a complete game to get the 4-3 win for Caravel. Adam Slavin started the scoring with a 2 rbi double for the Bucs. Ethan DeRegis reached base all three times and scored 2 runs. Cole Reynolds and Ryan Lester each added a hit and rbi. Richard Gannett had 2 hits and 2 runs scored for St. Marks and Nicholas Muzzi added 2 hits.

Appo bats came alive today with 10 total hits. Dermott, Conover, and Coleman each had 2 hits and 2 RBI's as they defeated the Raiders of Concord 7-2. Joey Davis struck out 10 Concord hitters while scattering 2 hits and 1 earned run to earn his third win. Davis also had 2 hits at the plate. Ford, Smith, and Tomer all had 1 hit for Concord.

William Penn came back from a 5-2 deficit to win 6-5 scoring the go ahead run in the top of the 7th. Ryan Insley (1-0) shut the door in the bottom of the 7th with HVT threatening and picked up his first win of the season for the Colonials. Insley pitched 7 strong innings striking out 7.

William Penn spread the offense around with 8 different players reaching base. Zach Pritchard led the way with a hit and two walks scoring two runs.

Hodgson 3 hitter Michael Deery led the way for the Silver Eagles with 3 hits including an RBI double. Deery also tossed 6 strong innings giving up 3 earned runs with 6 strike outs.

Brock Hilligoss pitched a complete game striking out 8 to earn the Milford 6-2 victory. Dylan Layton had 2 doubles and Mason Morris had 2 hits, including a triple, and 2 rbi. Trace Hitchens threw well for the Bulldogs pitching into the 6th inning and scattering 7 hits. Hitchens, Dalton Perdue, and Kobe Heinicke each had hits for Laurel.

Newark had 8 total hits, Josh Perrini, Bryan Colmery and Jacob Lafferty all had multiple hits to lead Newark to a come from behind 6-4 victory over Delcastle. Bryan Colmery picked up the win in relief of Tyler Bedford who had 5 strikeouts in 3 innings. Dan Maldonado went 2-4 for Delcastle.

A.I. duPont defeated Sanford School 15-8 in a non-conference game. Matthew Pierce had 3 hits and 3 RBI to lead the Tigers offense. Logan Evans hit a triple and added 2 RBI and pitched the final inning for A.I. Jack Valentine had 2 hits including a double for Sanford.

Xander Emberger, Ryan Silver and Bryce Sterling combined to pitch a 1 hit shutout for Red Lion as they defeated First State Military Academy 6-0. Sam Hardcastle went 2-4 with a double to lead the Red Lion offense. Daniel Smith went 1-3 for First State Military.

Lake Forests Wade Brooks earned the 17-1 win for the Spartans, holding the Bluejays to just one run on 4 hits. Tyler Noell led the Spartan offense going 2 for 3 with 5 rbi's. Caden Dickerson was 1 for 2 and scored the Bluejays lone run.

Joey Mullen pitched a complete game while striking out seven St. Andrew's batters to pick up his third win of the season for Friends as they defeated St. Andrews 7-1. Nick Lilley pitched five strong innings for the Saints keeing the game close at 2-1 through five. Eddie Micheletti notched a double and triple; Wyatt Nelson had two hits including a double; and Peter Erskine singled twice for the Quakers.

St. Georges were led offensively by Joey Rinarelli and his two hits and three RBIs while Nate McVey added three runs scored and a home run as they defeated Polytech 10-1, Aidan Riley also homered. Andrew Arterbridge gave up three hits during his outing while the Hawks played errorless baseball behind him. Brent Buckson had three doubles for Poly Tech at the plate.

Colin Smith went 3-4 with a solo homerun and scored 3 runs for the Seahawks as they defeated the Hillers of Tower Hill 10-5. Zack McCloskey, Jonathan Hines, and Michael Fedorkowicz all had 2 RBI's. THS- Chad Lopes had 2 doubles for the Hillers.

Drew Workman and Riley Culver combined to toss 12 strikeouts for Delmarva Christian and hold FSMA to 1 run as they won by a 3-1 score. Workman and Briggs each collected multiple hits in the game. For FSMA Daniel Smith doubled and scored the only run.

Delmar defeated Woodbridge in a Henlopen South matchup by the score of 4-2. Andrew Callaway was the winning pitcher for Delmar. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out seven. Kolby Rust took the loss throwing a complete game allowing five hits and four runs while striking out four. Ryan Nelson led Delmar with two hits in three at bats.

Luke Johnson threw 6 1/3 solid innings while striking out 11 to improve to 3-0 on the mound for the Vikings of Cape Henlopen as they defeated Indian River 7-3. He also went 2 for 3 with a triple at the plate. Ryan Gibbons was 3 for 4 with a stolen base and 2 runs scored. Logan Dominick added a pair of hits and 2 RBI's to round out the Viking offense.

Tyler Bowen hit a 2 run-homerun for the Indians in the 6th.

Dylan Craig led the Charter offense with 2 hits including a homerun in the 6th inning as they defeated the Bulldogs of Brandywine 11-6. Michael Esposito and Sam Lefton had multiple hits and RBIs. Dan Kennan and Alex Zhu had 2 hits each. Zhu also had 6 strikeouts in 3 innings on the mound. Gavin Lambert had 3 hits to lead Bradywine. Justin Ford and Michael Pagliei had 2 hits each for the Bulldogs.

Delcastle's James Wade 1-2 on the season pitched the Cougars' first no-hitter in over 20 years leading the way in the 8-0 victory over the Rams. Wade struck out 12. John Ryan collected 2 hits for Delcastle and Jake Stewart tripled.

Dover's Andrew Carney pitched 4 innings with 2 strikeouts to pick up the 5-4 conference win over CR. Mike Carrington gave Dover the lead with a 2 RBI double in the bottom of the 4th. Dominic Velazquez was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI and picked up the save with 3 innings of scoreless relief. Alec Rodriguez was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and Chris Dabney reached base all 3 times for the Senator offense. Trey Jones had 2-run Homerun and Mason Brewer reached base 3 times to lead the Riders.

Jack Valentine pitched six and two thirds innings, striking out 10 to pace Sanford to a 5-3 win over the Dragons of Glasgow. He added a solo homerun in the 6th to tie the game at 3-3. Dylan Smallwood had 2 hits including a triple and 2 RBI. Andre Claudio and Jose Mendoza each had 2 hits for Glasgow.

David Keane went 5 innings on the mound to pick up the 12-8 win for Middletown. The Cavs offense was paced by Joey Wagners 2-2 2RBI day and Bennett Falletta's 2-3 2RBI day.

Christian Miller had 2 hits for Mount Pleasant.

Christian Colmery hit a three run home run in the first for St. Marks as they defeated St.Elizabeth 13-3. Jake Meisel added 2 hits and 4 RBIs. Ben Anderson and Matt Sinko also contributed 2 hits for the Spartans. Hayden Trimarco had 2 RBI double for the Vikings.

Cameron Beulah lead the Spartans offense with 3 hits and 2 rbis as they defeated St. Andrews 12-6. Tyler Noell and Jaden Rivera also had 2 rbis each. Zac Cole picked up the win on the mound. Ben Horgan had 2 hits for St. Andrew’s .

Despite allowing three runs in the first inning, the Golden Knights defeated the Blue Jays 6-3 on Thursday. Raymond Brady and Kenneth Goodwin each drove in runs during the inning.

Central pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Chase Boyle singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Boyle got the start for Sussex Central for his first of the year. He went five innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out four. Jordan Banning earned the save pitching 2 innings giving up no hits while striking out 2.

Trevor Holmes toed the rubber for Seaford. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking one. Aaron Burtelle threw one-third of an inning in relief.

Sussex Central tallied nine hits. Tarryl Sturgis, Ethan Watkinson, and Kyle Briggs each racked up multiple hits for Sussex Central.

Sussex Tech strung together 6 hits in the bottom of the first inning to push 4 runs across the plate and defeated Milford 4-0. After the first inning a classic pitcher duel insued with both pitchers posting scoreless innings.

Brett Callahan pitched a complete game with no earned runs and struck out 12. Newark Charter flashed some leather getting out of a bases loaded no out jam in the first inning which ended on a great diving catch by Gavin Winegar and in the top of 6th Brett Lesher's infield in diving play stopped a runner from scoring at home to keep the game scored 2-1. Lesher was 2-3 with an rbi double and scored a run on John Ueltzhoffer's RBI fielders choice.

Jonathan Hines was solid on the mound for DMA pitching a complete game with 7 k's 2 BB and only allowing 2 runs to pace Newark Charter to a 2-1 win over the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy. Colin Smith was 2-3 w a double and Wyatt Inman was 2-3.

Adam Tommer led Concord by pitching three strong innings and hitting a three run triple as they defeated MOT Charter 14-0. Brian Downey and Mark Cruser both added two hits for Concord. Andrew Smith had a double for MOT.

John Jones had a great day at the plate going 4 for 4 with 2 homeruns and 4 RBI's to lead Apppoquinimink. Joey Davis also had a 4 RBI day. Luke Smailer was 2 for 3 and Timmy Vitella added a homerun for Cape in the loss.

The Raider offense was led by Steve Cornog's two hits (double and homerun). Adam Tommer and Brian Downey also added two hits for the Raiders. Myles Eaddy led the game off for Concord with a solo homerun. Justin Jump singled for MTP.

WP came out on top 8-7 of a back and forth game in extra innings against Conrad. The winning run was scored in the bottom of the 9th inning as Andy Walsh got caught in a run down between 2nd & 3rd and the ball ended up out of play.
WP was led by Logan Davis, Mark Kelly, and Ryan Insley each with a pair of hits.
Conrad's Kyle Walker had a big day offensively going 3-5 with a double and 3 runs scored for the Red Wolves.

Delmarva Christian used multi hit games by Briggs, Schlabach, Culver, and Lewis to defeat McKean 12-2. Schlabach pitched 4 innings, striking out 9. Trey Henry connected on a single to right to score the game ending run for the Royals. Taylor doubles for McKean and drove in the two runs for McKean.

Polytech started early scoring on a sacrifice fly by Austin Biddle and a single by Justin Rivera in the first inning. Dylan Gros and Austin Biddle combined to throw a no-hitter for Polytech. Gros went six innings, allowing zero runs on no hits and striking out nine. Biddle came in to seal the no-hitter throwing one inning in relif. Polytech totaled nine hits in the game. Biddle, Chase Rebuck and Brent Buckson each racked up mulitple hits for Polytech and defeated Woodbridge 7-0.

The Laurel Delmar rivalry was in full force taking 9 innings before Gavin Roystuart drove home two runs on a go ahead base hit in the top of the 9th for the Delmar 7-4 win. With an early start in the top of the first, Dylan Pasta doubled in the first at bat of the game, followed by a Luke Waters single, and a Julian Burdett double as the Wildcats put up 3 runs to start the game. But the Bulldogs fought back with 4 runs of their own behind a Trace Hitchens triple, and singles by Dalton Perdue, Holden Deihm, Kobe Heinicke, and Devon John. The scoring settled as Vance Joseph (LHS), and Dylan Pasta (DHS) settled in on the mound. Caden Parker came to the mound in the 6th to eventually grab the win with 3.2 hitless innings for Delmar. Other standout performances include A'Lante Shepherd who reached base 5 of 6 times at the plate.

Joe Orisini pitched a 2 hitter while giving up no earned runs to lead A.I. duPont over William Penn 2-1 in a non-conference affair. Orsini also drove in the go ahead run in the bottom of the 6th innning. Logan Evans tripled and scored to account for the Tigers other run. Ryan Insley went the distance for William Penn striking out 4 and only allowing 3 hits in a well played game.

Anthony Umeroglu and Domicin Tew combined on a no-hitter for AI to blank Design-Lab 6-0. Luis Ortiz-Cruz had 3 hits for A.I. and Evan Payne had 4 hits with 5 RBI.

Austin Prior hit the first pitch of the game and came in to score on Sam Hardcastle’s deep fly ball as Red Lion put up 3 runs in the first inning as they defeated Friends 4-2. Bryce Sterling pitched 5 scoreless innings, striking out 5. Derek Pusey picked up the save as Wilmington Friends rallied with 2 runs in the 7th on Wyatt Nelson’s bases loaded line drive single to right. Jack Taylor was 2-4 to lead Friend’s hitting.

Saint Mark's broke open a close game sending 11 batters to the plate in the top of the 7th - scoring 7 runs and defeated Hodgson 10-2. Matt Phillips, Eric Ludman, Ben Anderson, and Ricky Gannett all had multiple hit games. Mickey Williams pitched a complete game for the Spartans. Shawn Haut was 3 for 4 at the plate for the SIlver Eagles.

FSMA stormed out to a 4-0 lead before St. Andrews countered with 2 of thier own for a 4-2 FSMA victory. Smith for FSMA pitched 5.1 innings with 4 punch outs. Lauer for St. Andrews threw 5 innings with 4 punch outs.

:Hayden Trimarco pitched five strong innings with eight strikeouts for the St E 7-4 win. Jaden Dickerson had three hits and four RBI's for St. Elizabeth. Andrew Spychalski and Nathan Beringer had two hits each for St. Elizabeth. Devin McClendon had two hits and one RBI for Middletown.
 
Baseball News 4-15-19

Dover's Hiram Davis pitched 3 innings with 2 strikeouts to pick up the 20-6 conference win over Seaford. Mike Carrington and Nathan Turner each had 4 hits to lead Dover. Dominic Velazquez, Andrew Carney, Hiram Davis and Turner all had multiple RBI for the Senators. Dylan Nibblet was 2 for 3 for the Blue Jays.

Noah Covington pitched 4 scoreless innings striking out 6 and allowing only three hits as they defeated Indian River 18-0. The Ravens totaled 15 hits and scored 12 runs in the 4th inning.
 
4-16-19 Baseball Games

Jack Nielsen 4-0 on the season went 6 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs while strking out 6 to earn the Auks 5-3 win. Nielsen also had 2 hits. Anthony Mallamaci led the Auk offense with 2 hits, a RBI and a run scored. Mike Dellose added a run scoring double. St. George's Aidan Riley drove in 2 runs with a 2-run homer and Nate McVey added a double.

Delcastle's John Ryan with a 2-1 record pitched 5 strong innings allowing only a lead-off triple while striking out 4 and defeated First State Military Academy 7-2. Jake Stewart led the offense with 2 hits and 2 runs driven in. BJ Cummins scored 3 times for the Cougars. FSMA's Daniel Smith struck out 5 in relief.

Dover's Dominic Velazquez and Mike Carrington combined to pitch 8 innings with 12 strikeouts to beat Newark Charter in the non-conference matchup. Nathan Turner had the big 2 RBI single with bases loaded that broke a 0-0 tie and Dominic Velazquez followed with a SAC Fly to make the score 3-0. Turner was 2 for 3 with 2 BB, Alec Rodriguez and Andrew Carney reached base 3 times to lead the Dover offense and won 3-1. Trey Matthews and Brett Callahan combined to throw 8 innings with 13 strikeouts to lead the Patriots. Brett Lesher also reached base all 4 times to lead the Newark Charter offense.

Patrick McKenzie and Matt Taormina each notched three hits for the Quakers, driving in three and two runs, respectively. Jack Taylor had two hits to pace Friends to a 13-7 win over Glasgow. Micheletti drove in three runs and Cole Opderbeck drove in two with a double. For Glasgow, both Andre Claudio and Jetzel Garcia had two hits apiece. Garcia also pitched a clean inning in relief. Tristan Pantano (3-0) picked up his third win of the season.

Thomas Tracey picks up the 6-2 win for Caravel. He pitched 4 innings, gave up two runs on seven hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Alex Lindstrom opened the game up for the Buccaneers in the top of the 3rd with an RBI double. Kevin Keister added an RBI double and two stolen bases to the Bucs offfense. Ethan Deregis and Cole Reynolds both contributed RBIs. Greg Hamrick and Shawn Haut had multiple hits for the Silver Eagles.

Calvin Donohue piched five scoreless innings to get his second win of the season. The Bulldog offense had 16 hits
Nick Barton, Gabe Brandt, Mike Pagliei, and Aidan Lambert each had two hits for the Bulldogs as they defeated the Highlanders of McKean 20-1.
McKean's Kevin Ramos hit a double in the second inning.

Brock Hilligoss struck out 9 hitters through 6 innings of work to earn the Milford 4-0 victory. Aydin Zimmerman had 2 hits and 2 rbi. Dylan Layton and Mitch Leighty had doubles for Milford. Austin Biddle scattered 7 hits over 6 innings striking out 6. Chase Rebuck, Dylan Gros, and Justin Rivera had hits for the Panthers.

Alex Reedy threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts and 0 walks to earn the 5-1 win on the mound for the Cavs. Bryan Colmery was 2-3 for Newark.

Nick Welch pitched six strong innings to lead Concord over Sanford 6-3. Adam Tommer pitched the seventh inning to earn the save. Adam Tommer and Mark Cruser both added two hits for Concord. Dylan Smallwood and Brian Keiser each had two hits for Sanford.

William Penn took down Mount Pleasant today 7-1. Mount jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first with Abe Burr scoring on a balk. William Penn answered back with 3 in the second and extended the lead in the third and fourth innings.
Zach Pritchard pitched 4 innings for the Colonials picking up his first win of the season. He was able to scatter 3 hits and struck out 8.
The William Penn offense was led by Brian North with 2 hits and 2 RBIs while Matt Hammond hit his first homerun of the season.
Justin Jump reached base two times for Mount with a walk and a base hit.

Brandon Hatch threw 6 solid innings allowing no earned runs for CR as they defeated Woodbridge 6-2. Trey Jones reached base 3 times and had multiple hits including a 2 RBI double to lead the Rider offense. Wilfredo Mendez also had 2 RBI for CR. Kolby Rust had a double at the plate and struck out 5 on the mound for the Blue Raiders.

Joey Davis pitched a no hitter, he had 13 K’s and 2 walks. He also added a hit and 2 RBI’s for the Jags. Mason Keene has 2 hits including a triple. Carrier, Bouldin, Dermott, and miller added 1 hit a piece for appo as they defeated St E's 4-0. Dickerson pitched 5 strong innings for St. E’s.

:DMA- Colin Smith controlled the game for 6 2/3 innings striking out 7 batters. Smith also had two hits along with 3 rbi's. Michael Fedorkowicz, James Hahn, and Wyatt Minner all had two hits for the Seahawks as they defeated Red Lion Christian 7-2. RLCA- Xander Emberger had two hits for the Lions.

Dallas Crowley picked up his second win of the season, giving up one hit with five strikeouts to pace Tower Hill to an 11-1 win over Tatnall. Tower Hills' Kenyon Motley had two hits with two RBI's. C. J. Ashe singled and Bryce Scott scored for Tatnall.

Sam Hansen drove in four runs on 3 hits to help Conrad to a 13-3 Victory over MOT Charter. Michael Spadea earned the win while getting the start andand pitch 5 strong innings.Ryan Bond had two hits for MOT.

Joe Carpenter struck out 11 to lead the Riders to a non-conference CR 21-0 win over Dickinson.

Delmars Matt Rodriquez picks up the win throwing 5 2/3 innings and allowing one run on three hits as they defeated Indian River 7-2. Rincon drove in three runs in the 3rd on a double to center. Ryan Foxwell had 2 hits for the Indians, while Argo and Hall each had one.

Cam Walsen was able to pitch out of a jam, leaving the tying and go ahead run on base, to earn his 1st save. Chad Reichhold struck out 8 batters in 5 innings of work. Jaxson Turner had a bases clearing triple for Milford as they defeated Smyrna 7-6. Layne Bell had 2 hits and scored twice for Smyrna. Connor Strauss added 2 rbi for the Eagles.

Sussex Tech was led offensively by Ethan Ward (2 fo r3, 2 RBI), Jason Shockley (2 for 2, 1 RBI, 1 BB), Tyler Heder (2 for 3, 1 RBI, 2 R), Jordan Harper (2 for 2, 1 RBI) and Conor Ellingsworth (1 for 2, 2 BB, 3 Run HR) as they defeated Lake Forest 12-0. Tech's Matt Warrington pitched 4 strong innings, allowing 4 hits with 7K''s. Lake Forest's Cameron Beulah led the Spartans offense with 2 singles.

Seven St. Georges hitters collected multiple hits WEdnesday afternoon as they defeated MOT Charter 25-0. Aidan Riley collected his fifth home run of the season. Andrew Arterbridge earned his third win on the season with five strikeouts.

Sussex Central jumped out to an early lead in the 1st behind a sac fly from Kyle Briggs to score Vonny Toppin. But the Laurel bats lead the way behind multi hit performances by Vance Joseph, Kobe Heinicke, and Dalton Perdue. Trace Hitchens and the Bulldog defense held strong to limit the Knights’ offense and gather the complete game for Hitchens and won 14-3.

Saint Mark's scored 6 runs in the 3rd inning started by 2 run home run by Matt Sinko. Matt Phillips was 3 for 3 for the Spartans as they defeated the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy 6-0. Matt Phillips and Christian Colmery pitched a shutout for the Spartans. Wyatt Minner and Jackson Tyler each had 2 hits for the Seahawks.
 
4-19-19 Baseball

The Laurel Bulldogs run to a 10-0 win over the Crisfield Crabbers behind a complete game shutout on the mound by Kobe Heinicke. Offensively for the Crabbers, Fuller, Mrohs, and Bradshaw collected hits. While the Bulldogs were led by multi hit performances by Trace Hitchens, Dalton Perdue, and Holden Deihm. Kobe Heinicke helped his cause by delivering 3 RBI's, and Devon John knocked in a pair of RBI's as well.

The Laurel Bulldogs win their second game of the day by fighting back from behind Washington in the early innings and won 13-3. Riley Horner and Keionte Nutter led the offensive performance for the Jaguars by each collecting doubles, and Horner grabbing another hit to his total. The Bulldogs fought hard defensively behind Vance Joseph's 6.1 innings to hold Washington after the first 2 innings. Offensive standouts for Laurel include multi hit games by Trace Hitchens, Dalton Perdue, Holden Deihm, Devon John, and Kobe Heinicke. Dalton Perdue and Trace Hithchens also hit their first Home Runs of the season.

Tyler Reinert earned the 10-0 victory for the redwolves allowing one hit and no runs in four innings of work, John O'Connor threw one inning in relief. Jeremy Coleman, Max Awtry, Sam hanson and Mike Spadea all drove in runs for Conrad. Wayne Smith and Bryan Colmery each had a hit for Newark.

Ryan Bishop pitched a complete 5 inning game throwing just 62 pitches with 43 strikes and 19 balls as the Seahwaks evened their record at 5-5. Bishop struck out 7, walked 0, and scattered 6 hits by 6 different Mckean batters in the 11-1 win.
Dylan Mooney led the Academy offense going 4-4 with a double. Bishop also was stellar by doubling enroute to a 3 for4 day at the plate. Mitch Ewing collected two hits and Anthony Oscar went 2-4 while ending the game with an RBI triple down the left field line.

Joey Mullen and Wyatt Nelson combined for a three-hit shutout. Matt Taormina led Friends with 3 RBI. Eddie Micheletti had two doubles and Peter Erskine had one as they defeated Tower Hill 7-0. Dallas Crowley notched two hits for Tower Hill.

Ben Anto pitched 5 shut out inings for MOT and the Mustang bats came alive, wracking up 11 hits including 4 doubles and a triple as they defeated Design Academy 13-0. Nahjhi hit a double and pitched well for the Wolves, striking out 4 in 4 innings.

Brenan Fobes picked up the 6-2 victory in relief for Mount. Fobes also hit a 2 RBI double in the 8th breaking the game open. Justin Jump started for Mount going six innings scattering 4 hits with 11 strikeouts. Glasgow’s Avery Adams threw 6 innings allowing one hit while striking out 12.

Luis Ortiz-Cruz had 2 hits and drove in 4 to lead a 15 hit attack as A.I. defeated Dickinson 18-8 in a Flight B Conference game. Jacob Carisch came on in relief in the 4th to stop a Dickinson rally to earn the save. Rafaelito Hiche drove in 3 runs for the Rams.

Luke Gabrysh entered the top of the 6th inning with the bases loaded, two outs and Concord leading 5-4 and won 7-4 final score. Concord used a groundball out to end the HVT rally. Starting pitcher Brian Downey threw 5 2/3 strong innings, scattering six hits and six strikeouts. The Raider offense was led by Steve Cornog's two hits (single and 2-run HR). Myles Eaddy, Adam Tommer and Cade Pfander each added RBI's for Concord. Nick Page, Xavier Jones, and Ryan Reichard each had two hits a piece for HVT. Greg Hamrick, Kyle Riley, Justin Raab, and Simon Abdullah all had RBI's for HVT.

Xander Emberger and Andrew Workman battled each other through 4 scoreless innings. Red Lion broke through and scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th with Derek Pusey scoring first on Bryce Sterling’s squeeze bunt and won by a final score of 4-0. Brandon Anderson started a 2 out rally working a full count and drawing a walk to keep the inning alive. For Red Lion, Emberger went 6.2 scoreless innings with 4 K’s and just 2 hits. For Delmarva Christian, Workman struck out 8 in 5 innings of pitching.

Brandywine took a 2-1 lead in the top of the 3rd off a 2 run double by Michael Pagliei. William Penn tied the game up in the bottom of the 4th inning with an RBI double from Jermaj Kennedy. Logan Davis then gave the Colonials the 4-2 lead with a 2 run single.
Ryan Insley (2-1) picked up the win for the Colonials tossing all 7 innings. He gave up 4 hits on the day and struck out 9.

Jack Valentine pitched 6 innings, giving up 3 hits and striking out 13. Tobias Coker got the save, striking out 2 in the 7th. Trent Wall led off the 6th inning with a triple. Henry Nolte laid down a squeeze bunt to score Wall for the winning run as Sanford won 1-0. Andrew Scott and Brody Clayton each had two hits for Tatnall. CJ Ashe added a double for Tatnall.

Aidan Deakins earned his second win of the season tossing a 5 inning 11-0 No Hitter win against Delcastle, he had 6 K's. Mason Keene led the offense with a Double, 2 RBI's, and a stolen base. Jones, Carrier, Dermott, J. Davis, Duckworth, and Estes all had 1 hit for Appo. Maldonado was solid in CF for Delcastle.

Nick Welch led the Concord Raiders over Dickinson by pitching 5-innings, striking out 10 and giving up 1 hit. Johnny Ford and Adam Tommer led the Raiders with two hits a piece. Johnathan Garvin had a single for Dickinson.

Luke Gabrysh pitched five strong innings giving up three hits and striking out six for Concord as they defeated the Tigers of AI DuPont 3-2. Brian Downey came in the sixth inning to get the save for Concord. Steve Cornog and Cade Pfander led the Raiders with two hits a piece. Logan Evansled the Tigers with two hits and two runs scored. Joe Orsini pitched six strong innings for AI duPont.

Gabe Brandt, Michael Pagliei and Calvin Donohue each had two hit games for the Bulldogs as they defeated Lake Forest 6-2.
Lake's Bryon Freeland, Cameron Beulah, and William Parker had two hits each.

After giving up 4 runs in the first inning, Nate Hardcastle and Bryce Sterling combined to shut out Archmere the rest of the way and won 10-4. Derek Pusey tied the game with a Home Run in the 3rd and Henry Lieske knocked in the go ahead run when he reached on an error. Archmere was led by Michael Mallamaci, 2-4 with a run scored and Brady Dalton, 2-3 with an RBI.

Adam Tommer led the Raiders to a 7-0 victory on the mound and at the plate. Tommer threw four hitless innings on the mound and added three hits at the plate. Connor Smith added two RBI's for Concord. James Wade and Sean Naumann each had a hit Delcastle.

Joey Rinarelli led the Hawks Offense with four hits and two runs scored as they defeated Hodgson 7-3. Noah Finocchairo scored two runs and Nate McVey collected two RBIs. Aidan Riley picked up the win on the mound while driving in a run. Shawn Haut had two hits and battled for six innings for Hodgson.

Conor Ellingsworth led the ravens of Sussex Tech to a 12-1 victory over Polytech and went on a 17 hit attack going 2-3 with a home run and two rbis. Matt Warrington earned the win giving up two hits and striking out 11.

Salesianum's Alex Hinton went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs, while Dominic Regazzo and Ethan Valentine each went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Brendan Pacheco had a solo HR as they defeated Caravel 14-4. Cole Reynolds had a 2 RBI single for Caravel.

Mason Keene allowed 3 hits on 5 strikeouts to earn his 4th win of the season for Appoquinimink as they defeated William Penn 8-0. Appo was led offensively by Gabe Dermott, he had 3 hits including a double and 2 RBI's. Carrier, Bouldin, and Coleman each had 2 hits for Appo. North, Pritchard, and Burg had 1 hit each for William Penn.

:DMA- Wyatt Minner had the game winning base hit with two outs in the 7th inning as they defeated Caesar Rodney 6-5. Wyatt Inman and Colin Smith both had 3 hits for the Seahawks. CR- Christopher Friend hit a solo homerun for the Riders.

Braedon Scherer led Conrad to victory on the mound, allowing zero hits and one run and striking out 5 as they defeated First State Military Academy 13-4. Jeremy Coleman, Joseph Malinowki and Kyle Walker all put in work in relief out of the pen. Brenden Haywood went 3-for-3 to lead Conrad in hits. Daniel Smith took the loss for First State Military Academy allowing five hits and striking out three.

4-24-19 Baseball

The Knights were led by Jordan Banning who pitched great in relief to earn the 6-5 win for Sussex Central. He struck out 6 Spartans over 3 2/3 innings pitching while walking none. He also paced the offensive going 2-3 with an double and a RBI. Ethan Watkinson had the same stat line and was very good behind the plate. Cade Keeler doubled and knocked in 2 runs. Gabriel Martin led the Spartans with 2 hits and Nathan McGray tripled and drew a walk.

Brock Hilligoss pitched into the 6th inning allowing 2 hits and striking out 6 for the Milford 6-3 victory over St. Georges. Alex Mergner recorded the final 4 outs for the save. Mitch Leighty had a bases clearing triple and Shawn Saxon added two hits for the Bucs. Noah Finocchiaro struck out 5 hitters through 6 innings and added 2 hits of his own. Joey Rinarelli and Aiden Riley each had doubles for the Seahawks.

Baseball

Mike Dellose gave up a 1st inning single to Brody Clayton and didn't allow another hit the rest of the way earning the Auks 10-0 win. Dellose finished with 8 K's/0 BBs in the shutout. He was also 2-3 with 2 RBI. Brady Dalton (3-3, 2 RS, RBI), Connor Bartholomew (2-3, RS, RBI) & Mike Mallamaci (2-4, 2 RS 3 RBI) led the Auk offense.

Jake Stewart and Danny Maldonado led Delcastle with 2 hits and 2 runs batted in each as they defeated the Cardinals of St. Andrews 13-3. John Ryan drove in 2 for the Cougars and Manny Ramos collected his first Varsity hit and RBI. James Wade scattered 4 hits over 5 innings for his second win. Nick Lilley doubled for St. Andrews.

Dover's Michael Carrington pitched 6 innings with 5 strikoeuts to pickup the non-conference 3-2 win over Middletown. Sam Courtney was 3 for 3 with game-winning RBI in the 6th for Dover. Nathan Turner was 2 for 3, Hiram Davis 2 runs and Carrington with Sac Fly RBI to lead the Senator offense. Blake Harbert had RBI single and Zachary Sophy was 2 for 3 for the Cavs.

Wyatt Nelson (1-0) pitched a complete game in his first start of the year for Friends. Peter Erskine, Cole Opderbeck, Nelson, and Patrick McKenzie drove in two apiece. Will Davis (2), Eddie Micheletti (2), and Nelson (3) all had multi-hit games for the Quakers as they defeated the Colonials of William Penn 11-1. For the Colonials Matt Kelly had a double and Zach Pritchard drove in a run.

Jakob Hoffman led the Bucs offense with a double, homerun and 6 rbi's to pace Caravel to a 17-4 win over Glasgow. Cole Reynolds had 2 hits and 2 rbi, Alex Linstrom had 2 hits and Adam Slavin had 2 rbi. Jetzel Garcia had 2 hits including a 2 run homerun in the 3rd for Glasgow.

CR's Brandon Hatch threw a complete game allowing 2 earned runs. Tre Jones exploded for the Riders with multiple hits including a grand slam with 7 RBI on the day as they defeated Hodgson 13-4. The Riders pounded out 15 hits in the contest. Brandon Hatch had 3 hits for the including a double. Wilfredo Mendez, Ryan Rigby and Mason Brewer all had 2 hits a piece for CR. Shawn Haut had 3 hits for the Silver Eagles.

J. Davis earned his 5th win of the season going 6 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits, 4 K's to pace the Jaguars of Appoquinimink to a 11-1 win over Salesianum. Appos offense broke out in the 4th behind a line drive in the gap grand slam by Alex Jones. Mason Keene led Appo hitters going 4 for 5 with a double. Gabe Dermott was 2 for 3 with a double. Ragazzo, Rees, Valentine, and Querey all had 1 hit each for Sallies.

Dallas Crowley picked up his 3rd win of the season, scattering 5 hits to pace Tower Hill School to a 2-1 win over Tatnall School. Jason Roux and John Gray had two hits each for the Hillers. Sanfords Logan Jacobs had two hits and Jack Valentine tripled.

Tobias Coker got the win for Sanford going 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and 3 runs. Logan Jacobs picked up the save. Isiah Bracey had two hits. Henry Nolte had 2 RBI. Jack Valentine hit a triple. For Delcastle, John Ryan and Danny Maldonado each had two hits.

Wyatt Nelson earned the win in relief of starter Joey Mullen. Nelson and Cole Opderbeck each had two hits for Friends. For AI, five different players notched a hit: Pasaqualla, Evans, Johnson, Carisch, and Ortiz.

FSMA defeated McKean 9-6 in Monday night’s matchup. Jenkins for FSMA had 9 strikeouts on 73 pitches. Nolan and Ramos for McKean both reached base on each of their 3 at bats with Ramos having 3 singles. Smith for FSMA had the only extra base hit with a double.

Salesianum lead off batter, Dominic Ragazzo went 2 for 2 with a triple a home run and 3 RBIs. Joe Sheets had a triple and 2 RBIs to pace the Sals of Salesianum to a 12-1 win over Newark. Darren Tyson had two base hits and and RBI for Newark

The Laurel Bulldogs jumped out in front with 5 runs in the second inning to take a lead they would maintain the entire game and won 10-5. Kaden Shockley, Devon John, and Dalton Perdue contributed with multi hit days. While trace Hitchens grabbed the win for Laurel, Damin Smith, Vance Joseph, and Kobe Heinicke contributed to finishing the job. Offensively for Smyrna, both Andrew Whitlock and Shawn Mannering brought a multi hit performance to the plate.

Jake Fallers 2-run homer in the bottom of the 4th led the Auk offense to a 5-2 win over Charter. Mike Dellose was 2-3 with a run scoring triple as was Jack Nielsen who had a run scoring double. Danny Storm scattered 4 hits over 5.1 innings for the victory.

Luke Johnson moved to 5-0 on the mound scattering 4 hits and allowing 1 run with 8 k’s to pace Cape Henlopen to a 6-2 win over Caesar Rodney. He also drove in a pair of runs to help the scoring in the 6th. Cape got on the board with Robbie Baxley’s triple that scored Mason Fluharty. Jackson Ostroski and Timmy Vitella each had an RBI single in that inning. Ryan Gibbons was 1 for 1 with 3 walks and a run to lead Cape offensively. Brandon Hatch was 2 for 4 with an RBI to leader the Riders.

Luke Gabrysh and Nick Welch threw a combined one hitter to lead Concord over Brandywine 4-3. Mark Cruser's two triple tied the game 3-3 in the fourth inning and Connor Smith drove in the go ahead run with a RBI single. Luke Gabrysh also added two hits for the Raider offense. Justin Ford had a RBI double for Brandywine.

Dover's Andrew Carney pitched 3 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts to pick up the 11-1 conference win over Woodbridge. Chris Dabney 2 for 3 3 RBI, Alec Rodriguez was 2 for 4 RBI, Nathan Turner 2 RBI, Hiram Davis 2-2 RBI and Carney reached base 3 times to lead the Dover offense. Brock Keeler, Kolby Rust and Tyler Yoder all collected hits for the Blue Raiders.

John Pflugrad picks up his first career win for the Silver Eagles of Hodgson as they defeated Polytech 8-2. The sophomore threw 6 innings, allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, and striking out 7. Greg Hamrick and Nick Page had two hits to lead the Silver Eagles offense. Greg Hamrick, Nick Page, and Kyle Riley each had 2 RBIs. Chase Rebuck went 3-4 with an RBI for Polytech.

Delmar picked up the win rallying in the top of the seventh by scoring 9 runs to upend the Spartans 13-9. Luke Waters and Gabe Rincon had two hits each. Matt Rodriguez and Dylan Rodriguez had an extra base hit each. Aaron Rhodes got the win in relief. The Spartans were lead offensively by Gabe Martin who had 4 hits including a triple and Tyler Noell added 2 hits and 4 rbis. Cameron Beulah pitched great in his 6 innings of work.

Mason Morris drove in Brock Hilligoss to earn the 3-2 victory for the Bucs. Hilligoss scattered 3 hits over 7 innings striking out 5. Kyle Briggs struck out 9 over 6 hitless innings. Briggs also added 2 doubles and a rbi for Sussex Central.

Connor Lewis capped off a four run first inning for Delmarva Christian with a two run homerun as they defeated the Indians of Indian River. Briggs, Schlabach, Jones, Lewis, and Hesson each collected multiple hits for the Royals. Ian Shaner doubled and scored a run for the Indians.

Aidan Riley. drove in two runs with a triple. Noah Finocchiaro drove in three runs with a double and home run and Nate McVey homered for the Hawks as they defeated Delcastle 10-0.

Sussex Tech took a lead in the top of the first that they would not lose behind 11 hits and multi hit games by Jason Shockley, Jalen Snead, and Brayden Graham as they defeated the Bulldogs of Laurel 16-1. The Ravens also had 11 players all collect RBI’s. Noah Covington gathered the win with Alex Adams and Cody Dimes helping in relief. Laurel’s offense was led by multi hit games from Trace Hitchens and Holden Deihm.

Ryan Bishop and Dylan Mooney pitched Sussex Academy to a 12-1 win over Holly Grove Christian. Bishop struck out five over three innings while Mooney pitched the final two innings.

Jack Faust led the Seahawk offense with two doubles while going 3-4. Brock Diaz also had a strong day at the plate stroking two singles in two at bats, scoring two runs and drawing a walk in his other at bat. Freshman Jackson Basile gathered his first varsity hit while playing in his first varsity game.

Grayson Blair highlighted the Eagles attack with a double and also assisted on two double plays turned by the Holly Grove defense.

Dakota and Dallas Crowley combined on a 4 hit shutout for Tower Hill as they defeated St. Andrews 12-0. Kenyon Motley and Jason Roux had two hit apiece for the Hillers. Owen Stegman had two hits for St. Andrews.

DMA- Pat Crawford pitched a four hit shutout while striking out 10 batters as they defeated MOT Charter 17-0. Zack Morris was 3-3 with a Grand Slam and 6 RBI's. Colin Smith also homered for the Seahawks. Devard, Alexander, Lee, and Debenedictis all had a hit for the Mustangs.

Braedon Scherer, John O'Connor and Kyle Walker combined to pitch no hit shut out ball for the 31-0 win. Conrad put up 17 hits while Walker, Tyler Pirrung,Tanner Haywood and Josh Edleson all had Multiple hits. Walker, Edelson, Wes Mah and John O'Connor had multiple runs batted in for Conrad.
 
Baseball 5-1-19

Tommy Tracey pitched a complete game 1 hitter to earn the 4-0 win for Caravel. Alex Lindstrom led the Buccaneer offense with 2 hits and 1 rbi. Ethan DeRegis also had a hit and rbi. Central's Cade Keeler had a double.

William Penn was led by CJ Wilkerson who was 4-4 at the plate with three RBIs and a run scored while also picking up the win on the mound and defeated the Concord Raiders 9-2. Three other Colonials also had multi hit games. Zach Pritchard with 3, Matt Hammond with 2, and Dylan Grygo with 2.
Concords Johnathon Ford and Mark Cruser had two hits a piece.

In a pitchers duel Newark Charter won in the bottom of the 7th on a wild pitch to score Will Dubecq. Newark Charter pitcher Trey Matthews threw a complete game shut out striking out 11 and allowed only a bunt single to Max Awtry. Dubecq had the two hits for Newark Charter as they defeated Conrad 1-0.
John O'Connor pitched well for Conrad only allowing 2 hits and 1 run over 6.1 innings.

Tristan Pantano (5-0) combined with Liam Hudgings for his second no hitter in a week for Friends as they defeated Mt. Pleasant 6-0. Pantano struck out 12 and walked only one. Sam Gise had two hits fro Friends whiel Evan Arai recorded two RBI on a double. Justin Jump threw five innings for Mount Pleasant yielding only two earned runs on 4 Ks.
 
5-2-19 Baseball

Freshman Brandon Gamble in his first varsity start pitched five shutout innings, only allowing two hits, and striking out three to pace the Bulldogs of Brandywine defeated McKean 14-0. Gabe Brandt went 3 for 4 to lead the Bulldogs Offense. Calvin Donohue and Aidan Lambert had a two hits each. Adian, and Michael Pagliei both hit RBI triples.

McKean DeVon Taylor and Jose Figueroa each had a hit.

In a classic pitchers duel, Dominic Velazquez came out on top after 7 innings of 1 run baseball with 9 k's for the Dover Senators as they defeated the Vikings of Cape Henlopen 4-1. Mason Fluharty was just as dominant through 6 1/3 innings with 8 k's until Dover capitalized on a walk, throwing error and a single to tie the game. Then pinch hitter Keon Malone lofted a 2-run home run to give Dover the lead. Grant Evans led Cape with a single and their lone run scored. Andrew Carney led Dover at the plate going 2 for 3 and Dominic Velazquez was 1 for 2 with a walk and an RBI.

Joe Orsini delivered a 3 run homer in the top of the 7th inning to lead A.I. duPont over Glasgow 6-2 in a Flight B matchup. Logan Evans 2nd home run of the day for the Tigers tied the scored in the top of the 5th. Orsini also picked up the win allowing 4 hits while striking out 12. Jetzel Garcia Perez had 2 hits for Glasgow.

Shawn Haut picks up his first career win for the Silver Eagles throwing a complete game and defeated the Newark Yellowjackets 11-4. Haut threw 7 innings, scattering 5 hits, 1 earned run, 7 strikeouts, and 2 walks. Michael Deery had a career day going 4-4 with 4 rbis and 3 runs scored. Xavier Jones went 2-3 with 2 rbis. Bryan Colmery and Jaden Barton had multiple hits for the Yellow Jackets.

Chad Reichhold allowed no runs over 6 innings striking out 4 to earn the 3-0 victory over Delmar. Aydin Zimmerman and Dylan Layton each had a rbi in the 4th inning. Mason Morris had a double in the 4th as well. Matt Rodriguez struck out 5 hitters over 5.2 innings for Delmar and reached base all 3 plate appearances. Luke Waters added a double.

Three Tower Hill pitchers combined on the shutout. Mike Gilbert and John Gray had multiple hits games for the Hillers of Tower Hill as they defeated the Hornets of Tatnall 7-0. Tatnall's Andrew Sweeney had two hits with a double.

George Windels almost pitched the complete game win for the Cardinals striking out 12 and walking only 3 as they defeated the Warriors of Wilmington Christian School 7-3. Owen Stegeman had two singles driving in two SAS runs. Nathanial Liu pitched well for W. Christian going six innings. Hunter Smith had two hits for W. Christian.

The Ravens were led offensively by Ethan Ward (2-4, HR, 2R, 1RBI), Jordan Harper (3-3, HR, 2R, 2RBI) and Bobby Locklear (2-2, 1R, 2RBI) as they defeated Seaford 11-8. Tech’s Tyler Heder pitched 4 strong innings, allowing 1ER on 3 hits while striking out 4 batters. In the 5th inning, Tech’s Cody Dimes came in relief, allowing just 3 hits, with 1ER and 3K’s.

The Blue Jay’s were led by Raymond Brady(2-3, 1RBI), Nile Rooks (2-3, 2R, 1RBI), and Adams (1-4, 1R, 2RBI).

In a game shortend due to lightning Woodbridge came out with the victory 4-3 over Smyrna. Kolby Rust pitched 6 strong innings of baseball to earn in the victory. At the plate Woodbridge scored four runs in the third inning capped off by a two RBI single by Seth Smart. Smyrna registered their first three hits of the contest in the sixth inning. Logan Strauss, Mason Drummong and Andew Unterreiner had the three hits for Smyrna.

Salesianum's Brendan Pacheco reached base safely in all three plate appearances with a 2-run home run and 2 walks as they defeated the Hawks of St. Georges 6-1. Matthew Querey went 3-3. Salesianum's starting pitcher, Joseph Sheets pitched 5 scoreless innings. Aidan Riley had a home run for St. George's

Appo got things started in the 3rd inning as Alex Jones singled in 2 runs, he and Keegan Miller each had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s on the day as they defeated the Cavaliers of Middletown 8-3. Lorenzo Carrier led the appo offense going 2-4 with a double and 3 RBI’s. Mason Keene improves to 5-0 on the mound going 5 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and 6 K’s. Ben Falletta has 2 hits and 3 RBI’s for Middletown.

DMA stormed out to a 2-0 lead and never looked back winning 8-0 on Thursday night over First State Military Academy. AJ Blanchard, Jonathan Hines, and Grant Hardy combined for 13 strikeouts and only 1 hit allowed. Colin Smith and Wyatt Inman had 2 hits apiece.

Xander Emberger pitched 3 perfect innings, striking out 4, to get the 13-1 win for Red Lion over MOT. Brody Sapp and Solomon Devard each had a double for MOT.

Dallas Crowley carried a no hitter into the seventh inning before giving the ball to his brother to finish the game and the Hillers of Tower Hill defeated the Tigers of AI DuPont 9-3. Chad Lopes and Mike Gilbert had three hits each, with Gilbert smacking his third home run of the season. Matt Pierce and Luis Ortiz-Cruz had hits for the Tigers.

Brandon Hatch moved to (4-0) on the mound throwing 4.2 innings scattering 4 hits. Andrew Rigby pitched solid in relief striking out 5 in 2.1 innings of work. The CR offense was hot with 11 hits including 2 doubles and 2 RBI a piece for Wilfredo Mendez, Brandon Hatch and Ryan Rigby. Jayden Wolford had a triple, a double and 2 RBI as they defeated Polytech 10-5. Payton Lahman had a 2 run home run in the 4th inning for Polytech.

Tobias Coker threw a complete game, giving up 4 hits and 1 run for Sanford as they defeated the Highlanders of McKean 5-1. Trent Wall and Henry Nolte each had 2 hits for Sanford. Dylan Smallwood added 2 RBI. Jose Figueroa had two hits for McKean inicluding a double.

In the bottom of the 6th with the score 2-0, St. Mark’s Eric Ludman led off with a towering HR to pull within 1 run. Later in the inning, the Spartans were able to push the tying run across the plate following a Sussex Tech error. In the top of the 8th with two outs, Tech’s Jordan Harper singled home Braydan Graham to put the Ravens on top 3-2. St. Mark’s responded in the bottom of the 8th when with bases loaded Nick Pisorchik hit a ground ball to Tech’s shortstop Matt Warrington. Warrington was able keep the ball in the infield with a diving play; recording an out at second base. After an intentional walk, Sussex Tech’s relief pitcher Noah Covington was able to induce a ground ball to firstbase and a fly out to left field to get out of the inning with the score tied at 3 each. Fast forward to the top of the 11th; with 2 outs in the inning, Sussex Tech’s Conor Ellingsworth put the Ravens on top for good with a HR to left field at 4-3.

St. Marks’ Richard Ganett had 2 hits for the Spartans. Tech’s Matt Warrington pitched 5.2 strong innings, allowing 3 hits, giving up his first earned run of the year, while striking out 10 batters.Tech's Conor Ellingsworth led the Ravens offensively, going 3-5, 3R and 1RBI, followed by Jordan Harper who had 2 hits with 2RBI.

The Hawks' offense had Troy Atkins, Shawn Edevane, Joey Jourdan, and Joey Rineralli collect two hits each with Rinarelli contributing five RBIs. Aidan Riley pitched six innings scattering five hits while striking out six for St. Georges as they defeated St. Elizabeth 9-1. For St. E's, Hayden Trimacro battled on the mound and Christian Strickland had two hits.

5-4-19 Nicholas Barton, Gavin Lambert and Michael Pagliei contributed to a four run sixth inning with RBI's Gavin Lambert went 4 for 4 and Calvin Donohue went 3 for 3 at the plate to pace Brandywine to a 7-1 win over Sussex Academy. Michael Pagliei and Lambert doubled twice, Donohue and Barton doubled.

Kevin Keister pitched a complete game shut out, scattering 3 hits with 7 strike outs to pace Caravel to a 6-0 win over William Penn. Ethan DeRegis led all hitters going 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Cole Reynolds and Alex Lindstrom each had a hit and rbi. Dan Marcon also had a rbi. Hank Wilkerson, Kevin Burg, and Logan Davis each had a hit for Penn.

Michael Esposito picked-off the tying run at 3rd base for the final out of the game to secure the 6-5 win for Charter. Dan Kennan started the game on Thursday and closed the game on Saturday striking out 6 batters in 3 2/3 innings. Alex Zhu had a 2 run double and Peter Taylor drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 5th inning. Hayden Trimarco had 2 hits including a solo homerun for the Vikings.

Eddie Micheletti, Sam Gise, Jack Taylor, and Patrick McKenzie each had two hits in Friends' 13-run first inning and won 13-2. Micheletti (4), Gise (3), and McKenzie (2) recorded multiple RBI in the inning as well. Joey Mullen picked up the win and is now 5-1 on the year. Wyatt Nelson pitched two innings in relief. Jack Lauer had two hits for the Saints while Owen Stegman and Christo Butner drove in the team's two runs.

:Conrad snagged a late lead and defeated Middletown 7-3. Tyler Reinert earned the victory on the mound for Conrad giving up only 3 runs on just 4 hits and striking out three over six innings. Kyle Walker threw one inning in relief to close the game. Max Awtry and Kyle Walker each had multiple hits for Conrad. Bennet Falletta lead Middletown with two hits.

Michael Deery picks up his 3rd win for the Silver Eagles as they defeated Mt Pleasant 13-0. The senior threw 5 strong innings, allowing no hits, no runs, and striking out 7. Deery also went 2-4 with a triple and RBI. Dante Smith shut the door for the Silver Eagles throwing two innings while also adding a double. Shawn Haut lead the Silver Eagles offense going 3-4 with double, triple, and 2 RBIs. Deery, Haut, Jones, Page, Hamrick, and Raab all contributed RBIs for the Silver Eagles. Hillsgrove threw 6 strong innings for the Knights, allowing 3 hits, 3 runs, and striking out 3.

Appo's offense was paced by Alex Jones who went 3-3 with triple and 2 RBI's as they defeated the Eagles of Smyrna 10-0. Keene, Bouldin, J. Davis, and Conover each had 2 hits. Bouldin added a double, while Conover had a 2-run HR. J. Davis improved to 6-0 on the year throwing 5 innings and allowing 0 runs on 1 hit and 8 K's.

Chase Hesson reached base on a walk in the top of the 11th, following by singles from Michael Briggs and Brandon Schlabach. Schlabach's single to center plated Hesson for the game winning run. Joseph Jones doubled twice and Michael Briggs collected three hits for the Royals. Drew Workman and Brandon Schlabach combined hold the Warriors to 4 hits on the day. Dylan Smith tripled in the first inning and scored for the Warriors.

Delmarva Christian defeated Holly Grove Christian 15-4 thanks to 8 runs in the third inning and a 3 hit performance by Ben Hobbs on the mound. Jones, Lewis, Briggs, and DiFava each collected multiple hits for Delmarva Christian. Grayson Blair stole four based on the day and scored two of Holly Grove's runs.

Sussex Tech picked up thier 12th win of the season in a non-conference contest 10-0 win against Newark. The Ravens were led offensively by Ethan Ward (3-4, 2R, 3RBI) Jason Shockley (2-3, 2RBI) and Braydan Graham (1-3, 2RBI). Phillip Bovankovich and Tyler Bedford had the two hits for Newark.

Andrew Calloway allowed no hits through 5 innings pitched, and the Wildcats collected 11 hits for the 8-1 win over Wicomico in Salisbury.

Dover's Michael Carrington pitched a complete game shutout with 6 strikeouts to pickup the non-conference 1-0 win over Snow Hill. Sam Courtney had a RBI single in the 5th inning to score Hiram Davis to give Dover the lead. Snow Hill's Cole Gursky pitched 6 innings with 5 strikeouts.

Baseball 5-7-19

A big day at the plate for Chris Thuys propelled A.I. duPont to 3-2 Flight B win. Thuys two out double in the 5th tied the scored and his 1 out bunt single in the bottom of the 7th scored Luis Ortiz-Cruz, who had tripled to lead off the inning, for the walk off win. Joe Orsini pitched 3 hit ball to pick up the win. Aidan Lambert drove in two runs for Brandywine.

Garrett Hillsgrove lead Mount's offense going 4 for 4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Cooper Berry and Brennan Forbes each had 3 hits and combined for 9 RBI and 5 runs scored as the Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant defeated Dickinson 21-7. Dickinson's Jose Javier had an RBI double and scored a run.

Salesianum starting pitcher, Alex Hinton, pitched 5 shut out innings allowing only two hits while striking out 8 and issuing no walks as they defeated the Vikings of St. Elizabeth 7-4. Offensively for the Salesianum, Alex Hinton hit a line drive to left field with bases loaded for a double and 2 RBIs, followed immediately by Brendan Pacheco who smacked a line drive to center field for 2 more RBIs. Dylan Rees and Ethan Valentine each had two base hits. Lance Hinton earned the save facing only 4 batters in the bottom of the 7th, striking out 2. Craig Small pitched 5 innings of relief for St. Elizabeth's allowing only three hits and 1 run. Jaden Dickerson reached base on all three plate appearances. He went 2 for 2 including a triple.

Kobe Heinicke picked up the win in relief for Laurel 6-4. Heinicke, Dalton Perdue, Preston Hitchens, and Trevor Collins all had multiple hits for the Bulldogs. For the Spartans, Jaden Rivera and Gabe Martin had two hits each and multiple stolen bases.

POLYTECH scored 3 runs in the bottom of the eighth for the 8-7 win. Logan Dominick had three double and two rbis and Mason Fluharty had a two run homerun in the top of the seventh inning for the vikings. Dylan Gros and Jack Walker were 2-4 for the panthers.

The CR offense was hot once again, starting off the game with 6 hits that included 4 consecutive doubles. CR ended up with 14 hits on the day. Brandon Hatch was 3-4 with 2 doubles. Ryan Rigby and Mason Brewer both had 2 hits including a double. Andrew Rigby struck out 5 Eagle hitters in 2 innings in relief of his brother Ryan, who earned the 12-3 win on the mound. James Barr had 2 hits for the Eagles.

William Penn was led offensively by Mark Kelly who had two hits and 3 RBIs on the day. CJ Wilkerson and Dylan Grygo also added two hits a piece for the Colonials as they defeated the Delcastle Cougars 11-1.
Delcastle's Bjorn Cummins had a hit and a run scored.

Newark Charter was led in htting by Gavin Winegar who was 2-2 w 4rbi's and John Ueltzhoffer who had two doubles for Newark Charter as they defeated Tatnall 13-3. Patrick Cannon doubled and scored twice and Hayden Harach had a double and 2 rbi's.CJ Ashe had 3 hits for Tatnall.

Delmar pitcher tossed a shut out and Gabe Rincon had 3 RBI's and 2 doubles for the 6-0 win over Seaford.

Jordan Banning was credited with the 9-2 victory for Sussex Central. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two and walking one. Sussex Central recorded 14 hits in the game. Keeler, Sturgis, Watkinson, Camden Keeler, and Toppin each managed multiple hits for Sussex Central.

Appo broke the 0-0 tie in the bottom of the 6th inning when Gabe Dermott doubled home 2 runs for the Jags and won 2-0 over St. Georges. Mason Keene picked up his 6th win tossing 7 innings for the shutout, he gave up 4 hits on 8 K's and 0 walks. Lorenzo Carrier, and Krew Bouldin contirbuted Appo's other 2 hits. Ronald Faust, Dylan Mooney, and Anthony Oscar each had RBIs in the big inning.Noah Gonzalez was on the pitcher's mound for Glasgow Dragons Varsity. He allowed eight hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out four.Ryan Bishop started the game for Sussex Academy. Max Awtry hit a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 6th inning to give Conrad the 3-2 lead and the win. Jeremy Coleman was the winning pitcher allowing 1 hit and 0 runs in two and a third innings. Nate Hardcastle pitched a strong game striking out five and giving up only 4 hits.
