William Penn won this game. Saw it, and the pitching was outstanding from both sides.

Also saw the DMA/RL game. Really good game. One bad inning got RL. Edwards threw really well, and only an 8th grader. DMA had to be happy to see Paolantonio come in in the 6th. Frost and Farris both looked really good in the circle too.

I didn't know Penn was as good as they are, or maybe the bottom tier of Flight A is just as bad as Flight B's bottom tier. Either way, Mount doesn't really lose any ground IMO by losing to two strong squads back to back.

Am surprised to see DMA beaten, but Caravel looks strong as do quite a few downstate schools (Tech, the defending champs Smyrna of course, Delmar, Milford) ... should be an interesting season all the way through the title game.

Penn has a really good freshmen class, including their now top pitcher who is legit. Played Appo tough (4-0 Appo win). They had St George’s before the wheels fell off the defense.

DMA hasn’t lost yet. The top “4” haven’t played each other yet. And I think Tech is good enough to call it a top “5”.

Looking forward to the rest of the season. Some surprises out there looking to break into the tourney.

Looking forward to Saturday’s Attack Addiction Day games. DMA vs Mt Pleasant at 1pm, Delmar vs Caravel at 3pm, Appo vs DMA at 5pm and Smyrna vs Bo Manor at 7pm. Games at Caravel.

Interesting. Middletown has been looking like a surprise team this season. They've had talent for a while, but always seem to underachieve. They're off to a good start this season though. Good win for Charter.

No highlights, but Delmar beat Indian River 3-0 yesterday. That's a good win for them. IR has played well at times. Surprised to see them shut out in that game.

Looks like we had some interesting results at Caravel yesterday.

DMA is now the last unbeaten (and likely No. 2) after beating Appo and Smyrna falling to Bo Manor (if Maddie Penta was throwing for Bo, then Smyrna remains No. 1 - She's gotta be the top pitcher in this entire region). Delmar knocked off Caravel as well.

Maddie indeed did pitch. She threw a no-hitter and struck out 18. She is really incredible and is only a junior.

i watched penta pitch in maryland state semis her freshman season at bachman park. the 3 innings i watched 1 person managed to foul off 1 pitch. so no shame in losing to a pitcher like that.

I thought Smyrna had a shot, but Penta was certainly as advertised. Great game from her.
