Diamond State Longhorns strong showing over weekend

Congrats to some local Delaware talent as the Diamond State Longhorns (2) teams each placed well this weekend. The 18U team won their tourney down in Ocean City Md against a very good Calvert Cutters team. Saturday the team had 2 great pitching performances to secure the #1 seed as Zach Bowerson threw a 2 hitter in game one and Billy Becker threw a 1 hitter in game 2. Tyler Newton had a great weekend at the plate by knocking out 2 HRs. The 16s playing in a showcase hosted by Elite Baseball of Lancaster placed second falling to GoWags United in the championship game 4-2. Great pitching again by Kai Vitella, Brandon Walter, PJ Groome, Bradley Ulmer and Kendall Small all weekend.
