| Archmere wins their 3rd DIAA State Title their first since 1982. Since the alignment of the conferences this is Archmere's First Title in the Class 2AA Division. Laurel 28 St Elizabeth 14 2 touchdown runs by Javier White of 5 and 28 yards, Kylse Wilson 2 runs of 8 and 2 yards sparked the Laurel Bulldogs to a 28-14 win over the Vikings of St. Elizabeth's. This is Laurel's 4th State title in school history and won 3 in the years 1986, 1987 and 1991. Since the reclassification of the football conference, this is Laurel's first 1AA title. For St. Elizabeths who had an outstanding season, was led by qb Bret Smick threw 2 passes of 26 and 42 yards to Christopher Caracter. Middletown 28 Smyrna 22 3AA DIAA State Football Title-Middletown wins historic 3AA football title over Smyrna MHS Braden Davis 14 yard run, Michael Pearson 4 yard run, Joshua Roberson 3 yard run, Zachary Caldwell 3 yard reception fron qb Braden Davis. Smyrna Wayne Knight 2 runs of 11 and 1 yards and brother Yamir Knight 50 yard run. This is Middletown High's 4 State Football title. The other years the Cavaliers won were in 2007, 2011 and 2012 |
