A short list of games today. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
Hodgson @ Dickinson - At 2-1, Dickinson has won a close game against Howard, lost a close game against Mtown and 10 run Mckean. Hodgson is 1-1 and have won a very close game against Appo and lost 4-1 against St Marks. Hodgson 10 run ruled Dickinson the past two years.
Sallies @ Malvern - Sallies is playing their only out of state opponent this year. A vast change from 2013 when they played 7 out of state opponents. Last year Sallies beat Malvern 4-1. Sallies has started the season off 0-1 losing a heart breaker against Caravel last week. Malvern has started off 7-0 already this season. (yes, out of state teams play a lot more baseball then we do; Malvern was 27-9 last season. Quick math tells me 36 games in a season)
Wm Penn @ Middletown - Wm Penn is 1-2, with a blowout loss to Archmere and a close loss to Mt P and win over Delcastle. Middletown starts 2-1 with close wins over Ai & Dickinson, and getting blown out by a good Archmere team. Mtown is 9-1 against Wm Penn over the past 6 years, including 5 shutouts over that period.
Woodbridge @ Sussex Tech- Woodbridge had an ugly 15-12 loss to Cape yesterday. Sussex Tech is 2-0 with a win over Seaford and a 1 run game over CR. Tech has won the last 5 meetings against Wood by a combined score of 65-18.
Salisbury Chr @ Delmarva Chr - Delmarva is 0-2 and have given up 39 runs. Then got 10-run ruled by Seaford and got 25 laid on them by Dover. Delmarva beat Salisbury Chr twice last season.
