I've been watching from a far for so long and needed to have my opinion heard....these boys have brought a smile to everyone's faces who lives in this small town. They brought down an upstate power house while they were doubted all week now on to Friends and we'll pull that one out to. Can wait to see these boys with rings on their fingers. I love Tech winning too its great for downstate football. These 2 both win the state championship they should play against each other for a little bragging rights I know they'd love it! Go Dawgs!!!

Against eachother? BULL I understand you and your neighbors are excited about a respectable win, etc. against Caravel. But easy...don't tarnish for the Laurel kids what has been a good season, and maybe, just maybe a very good season if they can get by St George's (doubtful), by talking about play Tech at the end? That's like Friends saying they should play William Penn if they win it all?? Silly just Silly. Let the kids enjoy a good season. And you and the neighbors hope St Georges gets the dropssy's like Caravel supposedly did.
They have to get by Friends first before worrying about St G.. and believe me St G vs HVT game this Sat will be a good one..

Is Bulldog78 really a true Laurel fan rooting for Tech. That just doesn't go in the same sentence. Congrats to the Bulldogs, but I think their luck is about to run out.
First of all, you whack! LOL. Second of all, Laurel and Tech won't be in the chip. LOL. Third of all, you have confirmed the saying 'slower lower'. LOL
I hate to take anything away from Laurels win but from the sound of it, I'm not sure but it sounded like Caravel gave it away,4 turnovers and 2 inside the 10. Tough for anyone on the road. Maybe you should hold off b4 ordering the rings or planning the parade.
By the way what was with the Laurel's captains refusing to shake hands with CA's captains at the coin toss ?? That is pretty bush if you ask me... I was willing to root for Laurel vs Friends until I saw that on film... not now.. Go Friends!!!

NO NO NO... Its clear on film the CA capt's reach out to shake and Laurel's diss them. . Laurel had no one to direct CA where to come in as both teams came from the school and the same gate that is beside the point. Yes I was absolutely going to root for Laurel as I am from the ILK to root for the team that took you out...
I am not sore about the loss.. AS I am not a player, or coach nor am I a CA Alumni.. Its not that personal with me.. My Son is already over it... I just happen to notice it while going through the film to do my sons highlights for the season.. I asked him and he said yeah they wouldn't shake .. I have no problem with Laurel or how they played the game but I dislike piss poor sportsmanship and they displayed that in this instance... Cant root for a coach who allows that.. But that is just me..
The words "the better team lost" or anything like that never came out of my mouth as I dont subscribe to that.. The better team WON as I believe the better team is the one who makes less mistakes.. Yes Laurel held allot and made mistakes as well.. They put the ball on ground on a few occasions... The difference is they fell on it.. Its football sometime it bounces in your favor sometimes it doesnt.. One thing you will never hear me say is the better team lost especially when the loser turned the ball over and made way too many mental mistakes...
Laurel last Friday night was the better team... My analysis is just that an analysis and wasn't done in an effort to say CA was better or Laurel isn't deserving....
I actually like the Downstate brand of football.. I love the community small town aspect of it.. I also like the physicality they bring ( something I noticed from the Delmar game last year) Some of the dirty stuff I could do without (but their is plenty of upstate teams that get a little dirty as well) but none the less Downstate Friday Night Lights is pretty cool...
Point being Laurel, DE is better than emulating something they saw on Sportscenter that a college team did... Respect the game...

Caravel had no problem warming up on the right end of the field. So with that said they knew which end to come in on. But that was okay the y just got the Bulldogs all fired up before the game and it carried on as the 13-0 lead indicates. It sure looked like to me that Caravel was just being arrogant because they waited until the Bulldogs got out of the locker room before they went on the field.
I'll take my sons assessment over yours .if that is OK he said there was confusion and nothing done to upset the apple cart on purpose....
That's alright your son will have no problem coming in this week at Caravel just tell him to make sure he brings his $6.

May depend on how the refs cal it... My personal belief is Laurel will commit a ton of penalties and Friends will out execute them... BUT Laurel has more athletes than Archmere,,, Hard game to call.... If refs call it tight Friends win if not Laurel will make enough plays to win

Also if you want "analyze" film and cry about turnovers ( CA mistakes )so bad then go back and watch the 97 yard fumble return because that was no caravel mistake, Caravel decides to run some play where the motion guy catches the direct snap and runs a jet sweep look out of it. #2 for laurel hits number #11 where he is carrying the ball and FORCES a fumble and the. #1 picks it up and goes to the house. That's called good defense, get over it already dad.

Lol wings. Not everyone lives vicariously through their children. That is not too say I am not very proud of what my son has accomplished on the football field because I am. But those are his accomplishments not mine. I am even more proud of fine young man he is all the time. Wings #55 is Lloyd Badson.. and pretty much everyone up this way knows who he is as mentioned before his pops was one of the best LBs to ever play in DE.. (Played for State Champs William Penn and then Del State) LILBadson is a great kid and an academic all-star as well.. #55 had a great SR season and had his best game of the yr vs Laurel.. There are quite a few good SR's on the team that can be mentioned and most of them started for the Undefeated 2012 State Champions as Sophs.. Badson had to sit that year due to transfer rules but he was there in practice working hard on the scout team and helping make the team better every practice... This is what I take most from #55 .. He never felt sorry for himslef and always had a great attitude during this time.. When CA won States he was the first one on the field celebrating with his teamates. He could't play in the games but he was most definately part of the team Just a great great character kid...

well I'm glad I got to see him play. He has my nod ( if I had a vote ) for all state, and yes there are several because Caravel was a great team. What was impressive was he was just as good offensively as defensively. Caravel always had and will have my respect as a program, I hope that was not confused.

Unfortunately Caravel had 9 guys (8 of them SR's) having to play both ways ... Hopefully they can get their numbers up in the future. Definately an oppertunity for the younger kids to step in and play next year though..

RR I'm sure your son was #57 cause he seemed to have a lot of mouth on the field the whole night and even taunting the Laurel fans after they went up late in the game.
