What’s the deal with the DIAA committees labeling the first rounds of open tourneys “play-in-games”??

It’s an OPEN tourney. What exactly are these teams playing into??

Anyone else notice the Concord Dover game on Thursday at 1pm?? I thought that was a really strange time to have a game.

I must say, I would be pretty upset too if my team finally got a shot at some post-season baseball and the committee tried to label it a "play-in." The disrespect. Fortunately never had that issue but I agree.

Just taking a look at the Concord HS website, it says the prom is Thursday night. Proms, award ceremonies, graduations, etc., are almost always the reason for moving start times.
