Won't Happen!!!!A Conrad-Appo final would be fun, but a LOT of teams are going to have something to say about it. These last two and a half weeks of games are going to be interesting.

Probably not 100 percent accurate I did anticipate that Conrad, Appo, Middletown, and Sal's would give two bonus points for finishing .667 or above. I also added bonus points for teams who played other teams with 9 win which would put the at the .500 mark. Bonus point are only added if the teams played. For example Wilmington Christian played Conrad twice all ready so they received 4 extra bonus points. They also played Newark Charter who I have sitting at 9-3 so Wilmington christian would have an extra bonus point for that game. Please correct me if i am wrong. This is my first year trying this.

Yes I did
ok I see what you did... I only gave bonus to teams who are guaranteed to go 500 so Archmere right now doesn't receive any bonus but as soon as they hit 9 wins I will give the bonusWCS- I had 18 points for wins (6x3), 2 points for Brandywine (9-4 record), 4 points for Conrad, 2 points for Archmere (7-7, 2 games at 1 point each), 2 points for Tower Hill (12-2 record), 2 points for Newark Charter (11-5 record), and 1 point for Delmarva Christian (7-4 record). 18 points for wins, 13 bonus points = 31 points / 13 games so actually I did it wrong and come out with 2.38.
If I project out, they would go 1-3 from here (beating Concord), so 3 more for a win, plus bonus points - 1 from DMA, 2 from Newark Charter, 1 from Friends... that would be 37/17 for an index of 2.18... so really they need to go at least 2-2 to have a shot as going 2-2 puts them at 2.35- close to where they are now. Even then I don't think 8-9 and 2.35 will do it.
you dopretty sure you need to be at least .500 to get into the tournament
How many teams make it?

If anyone else is calculating could they add. I am trying to see how close I am. I could be totally off.
They may end up in the top half of the playoffs and may even win 1 game in playoffs but probably wont go any further . Weak schedules hurt teams going into play they haven't seen the pitching the other teams have seen !Look at Tower Hill hanging in that 6 spot. You don't. The .500 record only applies to automatic conference births. If you are in the top 20 based on index, your in.pretty sure you need to be at least .500 to get into the tournament
Not sure that is correct. I believe you have to have a .500 record to qualify, regardless of index or conference championshipYou don't. The .500 record only applies to automatic conference births. If you are in the top 20 based on index, your in.
Soccer...I agree, but look at section B.2 which determines an eligible ( A team must have a winning percentage of .500 or higher at the varsity level ).The fourteen (14) remaining teams with the highest point indices as determined by the following procedure will qualify for the tournament.
The remaining qualify solely on indices, period. An 8-10 team would be eligible for an at-large bid. It happens all the time with the Catholic schools in volleyball b/c of their strength of schedule. If you pick enough double bonus losses you might be able to earn your way in....
You are right. I was going off 84's info and what I thought. I will say I don't agree. Some teams by default of conference affiliation have tougher schedules, and some schedule tougher teams. I am curious how many other sports have a mandatory .500 record. Basketball doesn't I'm sure.Soccer...I agree, but look at section B.2 which determines an eligible ( A team must have a winning percentage of .500 or higher at the varsity level ).
No problem.....Besides softball, I'm not sure there are any other sports. But don't know much about rules for tourneys. You are right. I was going off 84's info and what I thought.
