Cape......really the most homeruns please. When you have a field that’s 312 down the lines. Don’t come with that BS!! That’s ridiculous, that field is a 50-70 field to help boost your ego. No wonder they have so many homeruns.

Should we put an asterisk next to their total for performance enhancing fields? Their total is their total, and if their total is larger then the previous record for home runs in a season, then it will be the most ever.

Also, if their field is 312 down the lines, and you want to add 50-70 feet, my math puts that at 362 down the lines. Please show me one field, still in use at any level with those kind of dimensions.

Its 312 from home plate, not third base....

Notable field dimensions:

shorter ones
Fenway 310 (Monster) 302 Pesky Pole
Minute Maid Park - 315 Left field
Yankee Stadium 318 Left, 314 Right

Longer ones
Miller Park 344, 345
Marlins Park 344
Wrigley 355, 353

Olden days ( courtesy of ballparksofbaseball.com) Many of these parks were in the so called "dead ball era" but with some of these field dimensions I'm shaking my head.

Shibe Park (Philadelphia Athletics) 378 left, 515 Center
Baker Bowl (Philadelphia Phillies) 279 right
Polo Grounds (NY Giants, Yankees) 279 left, 455 center, 257 right
Old Tigers Stadium - 440 center
Cleveland Municipal Stadium 322 left & right, 463 center
Colt Stadium 400 down the lines, 450 center
Ebbets Field (Brooklyn Dodgers) 419 left, 450 center
Exposition Park (Pittsburgh) 400 lines, 450 center
Griffith Stadium (Washington Senators) 407 left
Hilltop Park ( NY Highlanders) 365, 542, 400

have seen many wind blown , 'cheap' HR's all over DE in past 30 years. The field dimensions at Cape are fine, and traditionally is a tough HR park in the Spring because of the cold, damp air off the ocean.

Humorous statement from one Cape parent, (himself a Delaware baseball legend from the '80's-Pirates draft pick): "Cape's lineup is probably going to do ok in an HR derby, wherever it's held"

this is true, so please people, stop trying to take anything away from kids' accomplishments. Spartans got the win yesterday, not the best played game, but take it.

IR hit 5 HR's in first inning last week, great feat and probably some kind of record. No talk of that field size?

Cape’s field has been the same dimensions for over 30 years and they’ve hit 14 away and 13 home with a even split of 9 games home/ away

Exactly.

and we have more games played up here on Little League fields, with 300 ft. HR's, and 150 ft line drives that roll to Broom St. HR's. they all count, and have counted for years, as they should. Plenty of fields had no fences, so line drives in gaps were HR's. But not sure any team has ever had 27 through 17 games , therefore it is impressive.

People want to complain about fields has anyone noticed Archmere is maybe 280’ in RF if lucky and I’d bet less than 4ft high , the CF triangle might be 450ft , the back stop I’m pretty sure the plate ump was leaning against the entire game, the scoreboard is basically behind left field line , a hill in CF and so on what a piss poor design

Archmere with all the money it’s costs to attend should have better fields. I remember when Dover played them a few years ago they didn’t even have a batting cage. Didn’t even have a legit fence they had what you see at Sports at The Beach the little white fences around the whole field.
