This Summer, DWA will be helping fund the AAU Junior Olympic Team Delaware wrestling team. This event is scheduled to take place in Des Moines Iowa from July 30- August 3, 2018.
We will be building ONE team to compete in this Freestyle dual meet tournament. Wrestlers will get 14 duals in throughout the week.
15 Weight Classes per team:
98-106-113-120-126-132-138-145-152-160-170-182-195-220-285
Wrestlers must have a birth year of:
1999**, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005
We will also have alternates attend- coaches will decide the alternates based on weight, practice time and where needed.
Practice schedule for JO’s Starting the week of 5/28/18 (must attend 2 per week) - *** No Middletown Practice Tuesday 5/28/18***
Monday– Sussex Central HS 6:00-7:30pm (MANDATORY SOUTH)
Tuesday- Middletown High 7:00-8:30pm
Wednesday- Sussex Central HS 6:00-7:30pm
Thursday- Middletown High 7:00-8:30pm (MANDATORY NORTH)
Training Camp– July 23-26, 2018 Mandatory!! Location T.B.D.
There are other practices throughout the state each week, feel free to attend those as well.
Additional Requirement(s): June 9– work the Ducks Unlimited Spring Fling for funding for the trip. Details to be handed out at practices (Sussex & Middletown)
COST: Final cost to be determined– estimated $550.00 per wrestler.
