College is exspensive, kids & parents are unrealistic, and people just don't get it that AAU is where the recruiting is @ in the 21st century. No need to chase bball, the college coaches will be out in April live session. AAU despite its many negatives, one of the major positive upsides is that a kids can be local and a part of a community & school during the year. Used this time to work on academics and bball fundamentals in preparation for the circuit which starts in April. For some kids because of negative factors like bad neighborhoods or friends need a change but it's unecessary these days for most. If a kids has the talent hopefully they will try and get on one of the sneaker company circuits teams for greater exposure. Running from school to school sames useless to me. In the end it's up to parents to do what they think is best especially here in Delaware where the DIAA rules are oppressive.
