there is money to made on hopes and dreams.. parents will spend anything for affirmation their child is special
One summer I paid just shy of 10k for my 10 year old (2k to be on team after he made the cut, 250 bat,150 cleats, 100 glove and travel and food expenses going to the tournaments.. and I was a coach on the team lol) for my 10 year old son to play on an elite travel baseball squad.. yeah we won allot and my son batted .450 with 10 hr's but damn he didn't even like baseball and quit the sport the next year lol Not a David Sills type of investment but damn it broke the bank.. lol point is just let kids play for the fun of the game and things will go from there naturally you cant buy it
