Saw this game tonight. Delcastle made the mistake early of trying to run with Seaford. It was a race-horse first half, but Seaford's speed and athleticism took over the second quarter. The are big, strong, and athletic, with a number of good shooters and good ball handlers. They led by almost 30 in the third quarter, but then they got a little sloppy on offense and started taking risky steal attempts on defense. Give Delcastle credit as they never quit and continued to play hard. They did cut it to about 17 in the 3rd, but Seaford was never in danger. Seaford does appear to need a little more half court sets, but man can they create offense off of their D. That can fly, and about 5 of them can throw down big dunks. If they are shooting well they will be tough for anyone to beat, but if someone can slow them down they may struggle, since they are not accustomed to close games. They are not getting tested and that may come back to haunt them, but boy are they fun to watch.

I heard it was a great game. I’m gonna watch online. Looks like Sanford pulled it out.

I’ve watched every girls hs basketball team in Delaware north and south. In person, YouTube, NFHS. So here’s a word to the coaches… Teach a press break!! Steals and layups are way too common. Don’t see a lot of good half court offense. I really wanna see our girls basketball progress. In order to be successful and standout to college coaches, (if they want to play next level) they will need to know how to perform in the half court. Also, Not enough media watching, they are looking at box scores and judging players off a lot skewed stats. Much respect to the ones getting to those games and viewing online. You can tell the difference by their reports.
