The Blue Hens MBB team are home for two games this week. Please come out and support our young team. We have been close in the last two games and I believe a great turnout from Delawareans can help get them over the hump. The tickets are not expensive, the food is good and affordable, and IMO its a great family atmosphere at THE BOB.

There are two very good teams coming in this week.

St Bonaventure (7-3) from the A10 conference tonight 7pm

Northeastern (7-4) picked to finish 1st in the CAA Saturday at 2pm

The Blue Hens are no longer winless. I just want to thank all the Delawareans(2500) that came out and supported the young team last night. IMO the young team fed off the energy of the "FANS" and pulled out the victory.

Saturday at 2pm conference play starts vs Northeastern. If your available please come out. The youngest team in the country needs us.

After a tough 3 game road trip the Blue Hens MBB return to "The Bob" for three games this week. Our young Hens need our support. The place was empty on Wednesday night. Maybe 1/3 full it that. I am a season ticket holder and have been since the Brey days.

Have been to 4 games this year and Monte is lost. He plays his 2 starting guards Holdren and Anderson basically the whole game. Anderson is supposed to be the shooter and cant hit a shot. Everything short looks leg weary. Holdren has some talent but you cant expect a freshman to play 38-39 minutes out of 40 every game. Anderson only sits when he gets into foul trouble. It is just plain stupid.

I judge a coach on how players mature and get better year after year. I don't see any of that going on at Delaware. I think based on the school and the facilities UD could have a very good team every year. Not going to happen unless they make some changes.

D3's I am hoping that UD taps Stan Waterman as its next coach if he wants it. Maybe we can keep some of our local talent in state. Probably not going to happen. The former DC Assault player is a handful and we need all the fan support as possible to Henergize our team. Fans and Dads/wkids if your free this evening come out and enjoy a game in a peaceful atmosphere that's affordable.

On another note, Saturday our team lost a good game to Drexel but it was great to see so many folks used a Saturday afternoon to come to the Bob. The Henergy in the place was fantastic. During the game I looked around and it was great to see so many Dads at the game with their kids enjoying the atmosphere. It brought back memories of when I took my children to the Bob 10 years ago for a game and how much fun we had.

On last Saturday our young Hens won their 5th game of the season against Charleston. The Bob was teaming with Henergy as we rallied mid second half to open up a close game. The fans were hyped and helped propel us to a "W". Its just great how loyal fans come out and support the young team!!!

Tomorrow night at 7pm our guys take on Hofstra who is lead by J. Green who is a load to handle. If your free please come to the Bob where their is a family atmosphere for all to enjoy. "ITS AFFORDABLE"

Delaware fans, friends, family, alumni, and others our Hens defeated Towson yesterday and have finished 6th(9-9)in the conference. After starting the season 0-13 the team won 10 out of last 16 to finish with a 10-19 record. next Saturday the Hens will face Northeastern in the CAA championships Baltimore.

Ok Delaware fans, friends and families our team will be playing Saturday night in Baltimore vs Northeastern. This is not a long drive for us compared to Northeastern fans. Lets come out in droves and support our team. Looking forward to seeing as many DE fans as possible.

On another note Champ has played well in his role lately, accruing 6pts, 11assts, 9stls, 1blk, 2rebs, and 3 to's in his last 40 minutes played.

For those Interested,

The MBB team will be intact for another few seasons. The "U" has decided the team was excellent off the court this season and also provided hope that getting back to the "DANCE" is imminent. After speaking with several players they are determined to impress both on and off the court.
