Don't know if anyone saw the article in today's News Journal sports on Jim Moore. Great article by Tresolini.

I met Mr Moore maybe 15 years ago at a game at Smyrna. What a wonderful man. I see him and his daughter 4-5 times each basketball season. He's everything they say in the story. I look forward to talking to him during the season.

If I can make it to 92 and still be going to games...I'll sign up for that!

We should all aspire to be like Mr Moore.

He really is a very special man and that was a great article. Note to the NJ - THOSE are the stories I pay my subscription for, not the regurgitated USA Today pieces, but I digress....Perhaps even more impressive than his basketball attendance is that you can also find him out at some football games. Met him years ago at a Wesley game and always look forward to saying hello. If I can be half as active and sharp as he is at that age I'd consider myself very, very lucky!

Can't find a better man than Jim Moore! He and my dad - who passed away in 2007 - spent many days in the stands together at Slam Dunk to the Beach. Kudos to his daughter Connie for getting him to all of those games. I often sit with them at high school games all over the state. Hope he keeps going for many more years!
