Lincoln University, PA ? Amani Clark led the Lady Lions (7-7, 1-4) with 13 points and nine rebounds, as Lincoln won their first CIAA conference game defeating St. Augustine's (8-5, 3-1) 56-50 on Saturday, January 11th. Cynthia Johnson had 12 points and five steals while Courtney Lucas added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Lions who outscored the Lady Falcons 36-20 in the second half. The Lady Lions dominated the interior with 42 points in the paint and had 18 fast break points against the Lady Falcons.

George Jackson recorded his fourth 20+ point performance of the season, leading the Lions scoring 21 points, with five steals, and four assists as Lincoln (11-3, 3-2) won 69-48 over St. Augustine's (10-4, 3-1) on Saturday, January 11th. Tony Efese added a career-high 14 points with five rebounds as the Lions outscored SAU 34-2 off of 28 forced turnovers. Defensively, Lincoln held St. Augustine's to six field goals in the second half.
 
Lincoln's Coach Hill Named CIAA Coach of the Week






The Lincoln University's head men's basketball coach John Hill was named the CIAA Coach of the Week on Monday, January 13, 2014.



Coach Hill has his Lions off to their best start in school history with an 11-3 overall record and an undefeated 8-0 record in Manuel Rivero Hall. Lincoln won both games at home over Fayetteville State (74-69) and St. Augustine's (69-48) last week improving to 3-2 in CIAA conference play. Lincoln rallied from behind to down Fayetteville State then led the entire way in a dominant performance against St. Augustine's.



The Lions went 4-2 in their battles against the CIAA Southern Division. Now Lincoln will look to repeat as CIAA Northern Divisional Champions as they enter the CIAA Northern Divisional part of their 2013-14 schedule, with their first matchup against CIAA rival Bulldogs of Bowie State University on Saturday, January 18th at 4 p.m. in Manuel Rivero Hall.

Lincoln University, PA ? The Lions (13-3, 5-2 CIAA) remain undefeated at home defeating Bowie State University (7-11, 1-6 CIAA) 71-50 inside Manuel Rivero Hall on Saturday, January 18th. Junior forward, Tony Efese led the Lions with a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. Three other Lions netted double-figure scoring as junior guard Kyle Aiken added a season-high 13 points, senior guard Justin Jackson had 10 points, and senior guard Derrick Washington led the Lincoln bench with 10 points. Lincoln led the entire way and held a 32-point advantage midway through the second half.

Elizabeth City, NC ? The Lions (13-4, 5-3) were defeated in overtime by Elizabeth City State University (10-8, 5-3), 64-63 in the R.L. Vaughan Center on Wednesday, January 22nd. The Vikings made a long range three-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime then converted on two free-throws with two seconds left in overtime for the win. Senior guard George Jackson led the Lions with 15 points, junior forward Tony Efese also had 15 points and added seven rebounds, and senior guard Derrick Washington had 11 points with three assists to lead the bench.
