Definitely didn't see this coming, I figured Sussex Tech would take an early lead and wear Middletown down. I guess they had a Sallies hangover, but credit to the Cavaliers, a program that just continues to get it done year in and year out. Should be a good game with either Penn or St. Mark's next Saturday.

That distinction goes to 1 of the 3 schools in Middletown; Salesianum, and St. Marks.

There isn't a time in my span that either of these three aren't in the playoff mix, yet alone championships. They do it every year with different people. Penn is a good team but hasn't won a championship in over a decade. What happens when Carroll and watts are gone? Will they be relevant again?

This is just Division 1, and I can even put Hodgson and Caravel above them for now,

Besides this year Delmar is in the mix too.

Point taken. However, as of this post, 10-0 WP is the best DEHSFB program, you can not discount that. A couple of hours from now, it all can change.

As I finished my Belgian waffle breakfast, Basin Road Betty was loitering as usual. Betty was boasting how she will be honorary captain during the coin toss at today's game and since 1971 WP has 8 championships, MT 7, Sals 7, STM 4, CA 4, Hodg 2 and the big dogs, Newark 10.

Basin Road Betty continued to tell me she's not old, "I'm a classic not an antique, take a ride and feel the difference, after the game come see gramma behind the Arners dumpster."

Appearing in 7 of the last 11 D1 Championships. Currently 3-3, until next week.

I think a have become callused and I'm still processing what we witnessed last night.

When we are talking programs WP is not in the same league with MT, 1 year does not constitute a great program! Since 2006 season WP 55 Wins - 33 Losses ( 0 Title games) / MT 76 Wins - 14 Losses (6 title games 3 Wins)
