This is kinda silly. Brad is the only one covering high school sports regularly as a reporter and the photography department has been slashed down to two photogs, so this isn't the 80s or even the 90s when you had multiple reporters and photogs ready to go.
Also, everybody reads the paper online more or less and there are headshots of each first-team all-state athlete. The business has changed and the News Journal's trying to change with it, but their parent company (Gannett) sucks in terms of being proactive instead of reactive. Bottom line, he's actually doing the best he can under trying circumstances.

My bad... I wasn’t aware of some of that. Still think they need to do a better job if you going to cover HS sports. Shame WDEL/ Shawn Green & Brad couldn’t join forces. I do know that times have changed & newspapers/print media are cutting staffing big time. Just like a lot of businesses people are having to wear many hats.
I have knowledge of this because I freelanced for TNJ from 2014 until...well this year when they told us they'd be cutting the budgets drastically, so it's been hard on Brad.
Sean does a great job by himself and he had freelance help too until WDEL cut budgets as well. A note to you parents with kids, don't let your kids start news careers lol
