I got an eerie feeling watchin Nolan on TV today. It was a reincarnation of Joe Theismann at ND in 1968. I would say it was reincarnation but Theismann is still alive.

Henderson and Will Knight are the real deal! They put excitement into the game today and really had the crowd behind them. Henderson is quick, versatile, and smart. He also has a strong arm. Knight is also quick and versatile. He is a smart and powerful runner. Hope they can keep it up and bring UD back into national relevance. Congrats to both for their efforts today!I got an earie feeling watchin Nolan on TV today. It was a reincarnation of Joe Theismann at ND in 1968. I have to admit, I was never a Nolan fan while at Smyrna but I’m rooting for him at UD. I think he gives the Hens their best chance to win. Kehoe hasn’t impressed me since he was backing up Walker. Since he’s become the starter he hasn’t done much in my eyes. I vote for Nolan to start the rest of the season
And why weren’t you a fan of his in high school? Did he offend you in some way?
I won’t shy away from it. I thought he would never make it as a college quarterback. His size says it. Granted there’s plenty of QBs who does, the Brees, the Wilsons, the Murrays have all had to listen to the “size” remark during their entire career of playing football. I thought he benefited from a system that showed his talent. He had the offensive line that never really allowed pressure to where he didn’t have the time to make more than 1 read
Yes, Nolan has made the UD roster, and he has fought hard to be in the position he is in. I hope Rocco gives him his chance to shine. And not because I want to see him fail, but the opposite. He’s already proving me wrong, and it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if he went out, and lead the UD team to a playoffs and perhaps a championship and then come on here and tag me saying “I told you so” or “shut the F%#? up” not one bit would I be mad cause I doubted the kid.
Kids flourish in the right system, it doesn’t matter what school or college, or pro team. If you get the right kid in the right system, they shine brighter than their previous team. And that’s what I thought Nolan was in, if you were to put him on say Caesar Rodney those 4 years, they wouldn’t have won a championship, because of their system. Thats all I’m saying. I’ve met him at a party a few years back, hes humble, and all around a great young man. I’m rooting for him, and I hope he continues to prove me wrong!
I think he’s vastly overrated
Wow, pretty harsh. I thought HASENPFEFFER said it all!Actually, you’re wrong. The only category the CR QB led in was disappointment, and cockiness.
Nolan has been named starter by Rocco for the Penn game.
