Middletown resident and Dematha Running back Marshawn Lloyd committed to University of South Carolina.

There were rumors/speculation that after he had committed he would return home and play for the Cavaliers. No news as of yet whether those rumors had any solidarity to them.
 
He’d have to “choice “ to MHS .... and that deadline has passed. Suppose he could go to Appo , tho I can’t imagine why anyone would choose to go there to play football.

To be honest, I was told Appo and Middletown is already at capacity and can not take anymore transfers. So not sure how it would work if he even did come home. He'd have to go to Smyrna or St. George's, the next two closest high schools.
 
He already lives in the district.. he would have to go somewhere. Think about it ....

He lives in Appo feeder, would be allowed to enroll. Couldn't go to St.Georges because Vo-Tech has cut-off and would need to be there by his Freshman year. He's not coming back, if he does... Appo or anywhere he goes would be gifted with his talents.
 
All the talk in DC about him leaving has all but died. I am sure McGreggor locked him up and gave him the warm fuzzies
 
Backinblack.....the talk about it happening did die down significantly since the season. But I've always learned that where there was smoke there's always a fire, so I wasn't ruling it out entirely, but I would also like to think that he would have done it by now if he was going to leave. Like Dback States, if he did come back to Delaware, whichever school he attended would be blessed and would make it a game changer as far as their season would go. I do wish the kid the best of luck at South Carolina. I know the family and talked to him at the Middletown/St. France's scrimmage last year and he's a smart kid, nice guy.
 
When's the last time a Delaware kid got a full scholarship to play football in the SEC?

Damn Top...you beat me to it...I can't believe there hasn't been somebody else in the last 50 years....has to be...did we have a kid go to Vanderbilt from Christiana a couple of decades ago??
 
Jamie Duncan in the 1990's was Vandy's captain. He was a Christiana HS boy

I still think it’s smoke. Waiting on confirmation from his family. Not that I don’t trust knowitall....but lets face it.....I don’t trust knowitall until I see the proof. Changing his twitter account means nothing. He lives in Middletown during the summer. Hyattsville during the school year.
 
But what about that other running back who transferred there mid year? Better find a new school. Can 4 schools in 4 years be possible?
 
Knowitall is usually spot on and tuned in. Rumors are usually prefaced by “I heard”. He said he is. so he has some inside knowledge .

The whole thing makes sense. It’s no secret Lloyd was displeased with the McGregor hire over Josh Wilson. He liked Brooks allot and Josh allot And McG is like 70 and doesn’t relate he is a old school my way or the highway guy I don’t know he has his commit why not come home and play and graduate with his childhood friends?

Only way he could enroll at Middletown is if he moves in to Middletown feeder. Currently resides in the Appo feeder. School choice is way past due date. He is staying at Dematha, don't let knowitallDE get everyone excited and start changing your projected rankings LOL. Look at his name for goodness sake 'KNOWitALL'.


Rumor actually has it that he is enrolling at Christiana where his mom went to school there.... since we're starting things ;)

He just dropped his commitment video last week and it was at DeMatha, he just played in a 7v7 tourney with DM at U of MD this past weekend in which they lost in the championship to Woodrow Wilson out of Camden, NJ. Those 2, Gonzaga, and Wise HS were the final 4.
AND just for the record all his close friends graduated from Middletown this year and last year, so the "playing with his friends" theory makes no sense.

HAHA He can live where he wants he is an adult. Legal guardian means squat. One of those DIAA loopholes .just saying

2.2.1 With the exception of boarding school students, a student must be living with their custodial parent(s), legal guardian(s), or Relative Caregiver in the attendance zone of the school which the student attends, or be a student 18 years of age or older and living in the attendance zone of the school which the student attends
